Amazing. First ever double victory for Ecuador in an UCI race in Europe?

Just noticed on procyclingstats that the Belgrade Banjaluka race has gone 2.1, so now is a pro race without any PCT team? Can anyone tell me more about this one? https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/banja-luka-belgrade-ii/2018/stage-1

Apparently there's a race called the Tour of Mesopotamia.
Aren't races usually named after current countries/regions?

But I'm looking forward to the Tour of the Holy Roman Empire.

Mesopotamia is, if I'm not mistaken, old Greek for "Land between the rivers", sometimes also named as "Land of two rivers" referring to Tigris and Euphrates. As far as I know the term is still used to describe the geographical region along the rivers reaching from the Persian Golf to southern Turkey. It never really was the name of a political structure.

Gazprom (PCT) is there. There are/were some 2.1 races in Central and Eastern Europe with a single local PCT team only.

You could argue that the Brixia Tour falls into that category.

Still, at least the entity to which they refer to has actually existed, it's not the Giro di Padania.

Gustavo Veloso way too good for this time of year. The Volta is doomed. Sevilla crashed in the last turn and took Strakhov with him.

Yea, this course is suckage. It was right to stop doing the Morcuera MTF, because it made everything else pointless, but it's not very inspiring.

César is good at this time of year because he's lost his leadership to Alarcón so he can't bank everything on August now.

And the first win for Caja Rural this season, who have a pretty weak team for 2018.

Carlos Barbero takes the final stage, ahead of Óscar Pelegrí and Luis Mendonça, Edgar Pinto managing to get himself up into 5th place on the stage means that he takes the final GC on countback away from Duarte and Caicedo, with Rosón 4th and Errazkin 5th. All of the top 14 are on the same time. They really need to reinstate the more difficult Manzanares El Real stage, this race could be so much less terrible.

The legend has done it again. Victory in Algeria at the Tour d'Oran. His team mate looks like a hipster version of Laurent Fignon. :D
