I cross my fingers for Rui Costa, Kristoff and Dan Martin to finish this by tomorrow.

You were expecting both Costa and Kristoff to win on Green Mountain? ;)

Guess it's all up to Martin now...

My wording ain't exactly clear. :p

You are very correct about that!
Sanchez won Vuelta a Murcia.
Cort won stage 4 of Tour of Oman.
Lopez won stage 5 of Tour of Oman.
Lutsenko is well on his way to win the overall of Tour of Oman.
And Moser won Trofeo Laigueglia, but that doesn't count since he was riding for the National Team.

Well done Alex. One other nominated them before it was down to three teams, 4 people added after that, which is a punt at much shorter odds.

Well, to be expected when you field your best riders so late.

Not really. Theoretically, there are still 2 possible winners in this competition.

Sunweb- if they take a win in 2018 and UAE- in case Sunweb doesn't take a single win before the end of the year.

I know which one is more likely but it's not a done deal, yet.

That ever happened? A top-level team going an entire year without any wins?

The worst in the ProTour/World Tour era is four wins by Ag2r in 2012 and Fuji-Sevetto in 2009. Before that era Big Mat-Auber only had three in 2002. Before that it's hard to know as records aren't that good.

And now Sunweb confirm victory by any definition (Bauhaus, Abu Dhabi stage 3)

Is that early or late for the last win by the standards of this "game"?

I think it's the record for earliest last win.

Found the answer to my own question upthread:

Breh wrote:2017: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=32459 won by Astana, the late Scarponi got their first win on 17/04 in Trentino.
2016: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=30451 won by Giant, Dumoulin won the Giro prologue by the smallest of margins to claim pink and Giant's first win. 06/05
2015: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=26051 won by LottoNL, Moreno Hofland won the first stage of the Tour de Yorkshire on 02/05.

2013: Euskaltel - Euskadi, 12/04
2012: Ag2r, 18/05
2011: Euskaltel - Euskadi, 02/04
2010: OmegaPharma - Lotto, 18/04
2009: Silence - Lotto, 28/03

2007: Bouygues Telecom, 22/04
2006: Euskaltel - Euskadi, 04/04

PS: funny how QS went from the least winning team to the most winning team from '11 to '12.

We're left with Trek, Team Education First powered by Cannondale, AG2R, DDD and Bahrain Merida who haven't picked up a WT win yet. I think.
Meanwhile, Sunweb and Bora have only won WT races so far.

WT wins ranking:

4- Movistar, BMC
3- Mitchelton - Scott, LottoBE, Sky
2- Quick Step, LottoNL, Bora, Katusha, FDJ
1- Sunweb, Astana, UAE
0- Trek, Team EF, AG2R, DDD, Bahrain

Points, kom and youth jerseys are not included.

Bakala bought the team after 2011 and they spend big afterwards on guys like Cavendish, Kittel, etc. Before they only had money for Boonen and in May their season was basically over.

Cav & Kittel didn't ride for QS in 2012. They did buy a lot of cyclists from the folding of HTC (Tony Martin, Velits brothers, Bert Grabsch, Brammeier), Trentin joined them after having been a stagiaire in 2011 and they also bought Leipheimer and Kwiatkowski from Team Radioshack.

The majority of wins came from riders who were already part of QS in 2011 however, like Boonen, Chichi, Terpstra, Chavanel.
