#TourOfSlovenia: Good news in that @CalebEwan is all OK after his crash today. He has taken some skin, but has avoided anything serious.

Better that than to lose som skin.

Question is who he has taken it from!
Aka The Ginger One.

Yes, it's good to have something to spare in case of a future crash but not particularly nice to take skin off somebody.

Ramsay Bolton comes to mind.

Nifty riding to stay on his bike. I guess in the final sprint he looked at the crazy weaving ahead of him and decided that discretion is the better part of valour.

That is what everyone, including me, said two years ago. I still somehow think he will be very competitive in the Tour.

Caleb Ewan crashed again apparently. Or was it only a mechanical?

Groenewegen absolutely phenomenal. Was in about 25th-30th position at the start of the last 1.5k, went up to the front on his own and destroyed them all.

As he always does when he knows he won't win. He doesn't care much about CQ points :)

Groenewegen showing great form for the Tour. I wonder what's up with Kittel, he just doesn't seem comfortable with Katusha.

He is so unbelievably strong this year. He has beaten virtually every top sprinter this year with ease, except Gaviria I think (they had almost no confrontations). Even Viviani was outclassed (in PN sprint I think).

I won't be surprised if Groenewegen wins 4/5 sprints in the Tour

edit: rewatched it. Holy **** Ewan got owned in every conceivable way. Groenewegen first sprinted from 30th to 8th position while Ewan was already in front behind 4(!) teammates. Then Groenewegen started his sprint from far, came over everyone with about 3 times the speed Ewan had. Holy ****. Not even a contest. Pelucchi held the wheel and that was it

Brutal sprint and brutal last K by Groenewegen. He is unstoppable this year even when the team fails like today.
