they're well-groomed, the beard as well, but he's no Fuglsang :p

As a guy with a beard, must say, that's a fine neck line..anyone with a beard will tell you how painful it is when you get it wrong

I thought that Vincenzo Nibali was the one to make such judgment calls. :D

Even Tom lets it sometimes get too long. Only a special breed of cyclists can wear a beard. I'm thinking Pantani.

Indeed! He looks grand with a beard :)
Alberto Contador=Legend!

Nibali becomes only the 6th winner of all 3 GTS (2014)!
Nibali joins Gimondi, Merckx and Hinault as only the 4th man to win all 3 GTS and 2 different Monuments (2018). A throwback rider in this age of specialization. Bravo!

Even though Froome beat him
A fair amount of the time , you just know deep down he is so glad that berto isn't around. Dealing with Tom D is an absolute laugh compared to top grade Contador or Quintana. Froome wouldn't have even raised a heart beat reacting to Tom

Pretty sure Contador would've taken 5 minutes extra off Froome in the first 2 weeks and lost the 5 extra minutes by blowing himself up on Finestre.

Contador being there would have been a 10/10 giro. Two mental riders going from 80 out attacking each other hnnng

I dunno. I feel like if he had been here, he would have been the one who would have crashed early and lost time early, then he and Froome would have co-attacked on the Finestre and worked well together until Froome revealed his mutant powers and dropped Contador. But I learned to be fatalistic as a Contador fan in later years...

There was a very sweet moment with Manuele Boaro as well with Manuele waiting for Berto and asking about the baby and Berto put his head on Manu's shoulder  but she didn't get a picture of that
