I've only watched about 30 minutes total of the BC hearings, and he told the truth for less than a minute. R vs. D aside, he just can not be a Supreme Court justice.

What must I do Lord to gain entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven?

Sell your estates, everything you have and give all your riches to the poor, then come and follow me.

The rich man, despondent, turned and walked away...

As long as folks believe that the ultimate success in life, which is a game to be won, and that must be nature's law; is to individually become as rich as possible, unimpeded by collective action, policy concerns and state regulations, then "the people" are willingly complicit in bearing the necessary burden to sustain its oppressors. And it gets the mirror image representative political class such a perspective warrants. Yet nobody wants to talk about, let alone change, the image in the mirror. Its much simpler to applaud philanthropy and admire Bill Gates.

I had a good laugh with this: "I think of Donald Trump as a pimple on a boil on a diseased body politic. He’s a very attention-getting pimple, but if anybody thinks that popping that pimple is going to get rid of the problem, I think we’re failing to understand that you don’t get a Donald Trump as president of a country as good and great as this one, without a lot of things being wrong as preconditions.

As smart as this author is said to be, how can one make such an blockheaded statement I asked myself? No country is "good and great," but has only contributed, more or less, to the travails of history, to either the prepotency or baseness that has always afflicted us.

Trump has been worried about Republicans’ declining fortunes, and he’s been finding ways to shift the blame. Trump told a friend in the Oval Office last week that it would be Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan’s fault if Republicans lost the House and the Senate, according to a person familiar with the conversation.

Nuthin' to do with me!

This would be funny if it wasn't about the leader of the free world..the guy is a dunce..
President Trump frequently posts short videos online of him attempting to appear presidential — i.e. he is shot with professional lighting, he discusses the kinds of normal subjects presidents customarily address, he is not engaging in obstruction of justice at that very moment, etc. Unfortunately, Trump subverts the effect by declining to use any kind of script for his appearances. Even a polished, articulate speaker would struggle in such circumstances, and Trump is comically inarticulate.

In the video, Trump is using his favorite dignified scowl. (The New York Times reported last year that the president told staff he wants to look “like Churchill” when he makes this face.) Except Churchill knew more words than an average 10-year-old, and he also wrote them down before he started speaking to the entire country.

China has hit back at President Donald Trump by imposing new trade tariffs on $60bn of American goods.

It comes after the US slapped duties on $200bn of Chinese imports on Monday, escalating its trade war with Beijing.
...
This latest round means that about half of all Chinese imports to the US are now subject to the new duties.

Unlike the earlier rounds, the list also targets consumer goods such as luggage and furniture.

That means households may start to feel the impact from higher prices.

US companies have already said they are worried about the effect of higher costs on their businesses and warned of the risk of job cuts.

Did n't somebody say that nobody wins in a trade war?

Like I asked above, is this good for the USA economy?

Of course not..anything the US makes and exports to China will cost more so China will find cheaper soy beans(or almonds or aircraft or bourbon...etc) in Brazil..or Europe(AirBus is lovin' this)..trump the bully, thinks he can do this tariff gig thinking he'll scare China into a favorable trade deal..BUT China is big and really dislikes trump's ass-whole-ed-ness and will push back..just in time for the midterms..PLUS Gov't shutdown anybody?

trump gotta go one way or another..

Hannity & Judge Jeanine are running the White House ...
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/09/trump-released-sensitive-intel-at-sean-hannitys-request.html
On Monday, Donald Trump ordered the Justice Department to declassify highly sensitive materials related to an ongoing investigation into his own campaign and administration. Specifically, the president demanded the release of a variety of classified documents related to the FISA warrant application that the FBI submitted to monitor Carter Page; all FBI reports of interviews with senior Justice Department official Bruce Ohr (who communicated with former British spy and “dodgy dossier” author, Christopher Steele); and every text message that James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr ever sent about the Russia investigation. The president stipulated that said text messages were to be made public “without redaction,” ostensibly ordering the Justice Department to disclose sensitive intelligence sources and methods if that is what full transparency requires.
...
In an interview with the Hill Tuesday, the president clarified that he would, indeed:

Buck Sexton: Have you reviewed the memos yourself? What do you expect them to show, if so?

President Trump: I have not reviewed them. I have been asked by many people in Congress as you know to release them. I have watched commentators that I respect begging the president of the United States to release them….I have been asked by so many people that I respect, please — the great Lou Dobbs, the great Sean Hannity, the wonderful great Jeanie Pirro.

donnie and his stupid 'policies' once more will backfire..just in time for the midterms..Sanctions WRT Iranian oil set to go into effect 2 days before midterms..
Iranian leaders have already threatened to disrupt oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, the world's busiest sea lane for crude exports. They could also ramp up their nuclear program or increase operations in foreign theaters like Yemen and Syria, Croft warns. That would inflame tensions in the region and likely increase the geopolitical risk premium baked into oil prices.

McNally is also skeptical of OPEC's ability to put out fires in a market where Iranian supply is under assault from U.S. sanctions, spare capacity is getting thin and production is tentative in several member nations. He compares spare capacity to fire trucks and OPEC to a city made of wood.

"If all the fire trucks are out putting out the Iran fire, well that means there's no firetrucks left if the Libya building goes up or the Venezuela building goes up or the Iraq building goes up."

Really embarrassing stuff from the WH.
Donald J. Trump
‏@realDonaldTrump
I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!
You knew he couldn't keep up the pretense of objectivity for very long. At this point, the nomination of Kavanaugh is hanging by a thread IMO.

For our President to completely dismiss a woman who says she is a victim of a crime..or at the very least a person,a woman worthy of an apology is creepy. Trump is a scary, ugly on the inside person..knowing that his compass is non existent or non functional is also scary...he was bedding a porn star bareback while his wife and four month old son were at home..and his Billy Bush bus comments..the guy wouldn't know a sexual assault if it was happening to him..the guy is dead inside..

Further confirmation that Fox News is running the White House -

“I have a message for the president tonight. Under zero circumstances should the president fire anybody,” Hannity, a vocal ally of Trump, said during his program.

You must ask yourself...Trump claims widespread voter fraud..based on what? Wanted young men accused(wrongly) on a horrible sexual crime in Central park put to death..before a trial..based on what? Disputed the sitting Presidents birth certificate...why? Based on what? Claimed his offices were bugged..again on what rational? Claimed African farmers were having their land taken...did he do extensive research? Mexicans are rapists ? The data shows otherwise but what is he using to draw his conclusion?
He is accused of a sex crime...his logic is it couldn't have happened because the woman wasn't pretty enough...doesn't seem logical but that's what Trump said...
Now he is saying that a woman claiming sexual misconduct can't be believed because she didn't report a crime when she was a frightened teenager..
What does he base this on?
* Couple of good videos on YouTube about the disconnect between steel workers and the companies that they work for...workers want to share in record profits..companies say sure but only through stock dividends...private jets for all!!!or all that can afford it..otherwise settle for your paycheck

What's the chance of Trump trying to get the UN General Assembly to chant "lock her up!" ? :)
