Froome. Rightful winner of 2 TDF and 1 Tour of Spain.

He ain't the rightful owner of a Tour of Spain. He was working for his own teammate in the TdF, so he had to lose. In Spain, he simply got beat.

In all fairness this was for Sport relief yesterday, its a major event here in Britain where celebrities and sports men/women raise money for charity and help people in desperate need. David Beckham appeared in a sketch of our classic comedy 'Only fools and horses'.

Betfred are offering odds as low as 25-1 on Bradley Wiggins winning TDF 2014, and BetVictor 100-1, others are 40-1/50-1.

Worth a punt if Froome's back's still playing up or crashes and he becomes plan B.

The odds make quite interesting reading http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/tour-de-france/winner

To be honest he was the best rider in that Tour, yes it was a route that was tailor made for him but no other rival took a single second out of him in the mountains and he blew everyone away in the 2 long iTT's. Even if Froome would have taken time in the mountains Wiggins had his measure in the TT's. He could have gone even quicker in the final TT but spent the last few k's of it realising he was about to make history.

Before you accuse me of being a Wiggins fanboy I'm firmly in the Froome camp but even I admit he would not have beaten Wiggins in that Tour.

Bear in mind a big chunk of Froome's lost time (1m34s of the total 3m21s) came came from the puncture on stage 1.

If Froome wasn't on the leash he would have won the 2012 TdF and the 2011 Vuelta.

Yup, He would have.
It would have been an amazing story. I mean in 18 months he went from pack fodder to GT winner?!

Its a team strategy of having one more option in the TDF with the problems of Froome's back(if surgery required) and Contador's resurgence. Catalonia will give some indication.

They'd be better off pulling Porte from the Giro. His preparation for that isn't exactly going well anyway.

Switch Nieve and Porte if its not too late. Nieve isn't a good GC rider imo, but hes a wonderful climber. Could bag a big mountain win.

That wouldn't make any sense considering the altitude native's problems. Froome or Porte would need Nieve at the Tour.

Just write off the Giro. Most of the other teams do.
