Hmmm. A cyclist with a cigar. Should we not have a new thread
several pages long about how he is disrespecting the sport? Or
is it only Sky riders that we do that for?

It's a win-win situation, in my case. ;)

Interesting, I have the same hunch...

you do realize you linked the very same article I gave you, only reported by a Spanish site, don't you?
A race that doesn't give an attacker the chance to finish it off alone is not a race anymore.

I agree that the attacks on wiggins smoking are silly and beside the point, he can do what he wants, but i do urge you to note that Purito has not been secretly caught smoking by a hidden cam, but rather has shoved a cigar into his fingers to pose for a deliberate photo to honour his nickname.

Of course, thus I still stand by "I have the feeling he doesn't mean it." One needs to learn how to read between the lines.

so you mean that Purito secretly wants to race the Tour?
Cons:
- It will have more ITT than the Giro
- It will have AC and Froome
- It will screw his Vuelta preparation
- It will screw his WC preparation

Pros?
- It's the 100th.

What makes you think of it?

Gotcha. You always believed what Armstrong said in the articles.

Purito needs to understand that it's better for him if he rides the Giro/Vuelta. Hope he makes the right decision.

So purito is a pathological liar like Armstrong?

Cyneteq thinks Purito will ride the tour next year even though he said he was going to ride the giro, and everybody is trying to convince him he will do the Giro.

Whether when purito said that he is going to ride the giro he was actually lying.

I mean it makes perfect sense doesn't it. Announce that you will ride the giro even though you are actually going to do the tour.

Genius.

Kerrison never even thought of it Forget marginal gains this is "major gains" tm right here.

Well if the Giro ends up having 10 mtfs like it might, then its an easy choice. Plus Purito is much better at the Italian climbs anyway. He needs the steepness to attack 1 km out :)
