By the way, if you think Valverde's was bad...

That wasn't his "former champion" kit. That was his "current national champion" kit.

edit: compare to the normal kit from that year:

I am praying that Sky makes his Edvald's new RR-jersey like the one on top but I feel confident they will ruin it and make it like the ITT-suit he used this year.

From the pics that have been posted I must say Cancellara's is my favourite.

Levi's was the worst kit.

Tyler's isn't a national kit. Rock Racing rode Philly in those kits. The whole team wore that ridiculous get up.

I still can't figure out if this is good or bad.

Rahsaan Bahati had a pretty bad kit as US Crit Champ.

No, I think the stars and stripes inside the chevron are to indicate he was the US champ.

I reckon the British Jersey may be a bit bland but it works well as part of the team sky team with the white jersey a real contrast to the dark team kit (though would love to see a proper union jack, and we hardly saw it this year with bradley in yellow so often!). The same goes for when christian knees was german champ.

Looking forward to seeing EBHs kit at TdF

I know this is a TT kit but how cool would that be as a national jersey?

Unfortunately I couldn't find one where he isn't... ya know... TTing...

I like it, for no other reason that it's totally over-the-top! :D I think I remember a tweet in which he referred to it as 'funky'.

I can't believe nobody posted Voeckler.

I wonder if the French federation has some kind of rules, because they always seem to be the same.

Well, most of the French winners have been on French teams. I think for the French, the national jersey is quite important, so when a team has it, they are very keen to show it off. The only non-French team that's had it recently is QS with Chavanel, and they're usually quite "respectful" of the national jerseys too.

Nicolas Roche in his Irish national kit, actually thought it was pretty cool and the same with Brammeier's.

Here's my favourite British cyclist modelling my favourite British champion's kit:

I also really liked this iteration of the Italian kit, which makes the Movistar one seem even more chronic:

But while the Caisse d'Epargne carbon colours made for an awesome Spanish jersey, the effect was nothing like as impressive with the French:

Is it me or do the jerseys of Canada, Japan and Eritrea on this team all look quite similar?

Do the riders have any say in the kit design? You'd assume they'd want the flags as big as possible! (ala zabriskies captain america TT)

What about Frank Shleck jersey? It's about the same as his litle brother.
