I'm led to believe he is a very average Belgian cyclist who one day aspires to be as good as Jonathan Tiernan-Locke

Oh, thanks. Now I seem to recall some Gil-something winning a couple crappy one day races last year, but I thought he was Dutch or something

I see a few people have embarassed themselves predicting 4.

We can all see the arguments for 3, or 5.

But 4?

Don't be daft.

at first glance it's obviously 5, but one win will be taken away because of wearing an illegal helmet, so it's 4 after all :o

Maybe some people are hoping that he will still get to ride this year's LBL via his team's late wild-card invitation (due to his amazingness or Saxo-Bank's license being pulled).

I'll eat my hat if he doesn't win the tour de france next year. KoM in the Tour de England. He could be the next Rasmussen.

You know, that would be pretty amazing if JV1973 kept starting ridiculous threads overhyping his own riders. That would go a long way towards making me like him.

Endura should sign Philip Gilbert as a super domestique for JTL. Makes sense.
I just wish JTL would try though and not soft pedal like he has been doing this year.

Well Vino had to pay to win it, I doubt Tiernan-Locke can afford things like that at Endura. I say good show old chap, show these forum fatties what-for!

Andy Schleck: 2006 Tour of Britain KOM, 2nd 2007 Giro
Danilo di Luca: 2008 Tour of Britain KOM, 2nd 2009 Giro

I think we can safely say that Jonathan Tiernan-Locke will end this drought of Tour of Britain KOMs failing at the last to convert that success into a Giro d'Italia triumph eight months later.

Only 1 ( at that )
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong

The Grand Boucle wasn't just Europe's for the taking.
