I'm half way through the 2008 season and halfway through Le Tour.
Often fills in for a quiet week.
Watching old races just about keeps me out of the "falls into depression" category.
That and the track cycling....................

It's not going to be an 'off season' for lawyers on several continents.
Likely to be an uncomfortable season for a lot of riders too.

Agreed. Doesn't speak well of GCP management. It's almost like they don't know what they're doing.

There is so much going on in the clinic that I missed the poll over here!

Usually I would select watch old races, but this year is a Special year. Having difficulty keeping up now!

Vincezo Nibali joins Anquetil, Gimondi, Merckx, Hinault and Contador as only the 6th winner of all 3 Grand Tours! Bravo Lo Squalo!

Actually the Tour of Beijin was not so bad this year. Although it needs a better mountain stage, the riders did well to make it interesting.

Whaa? it's a great time of the year for racing, Amsterdam 6 starts Monday, then the whole 6-day season, and if you are way old school or a hipster bandwagon jumper, there is the cyclocross season that just started too

We could watch Nys and Albert battle it out. And we can try to figure out who won the Tour in 1996.. and also between 1999-2005.

And we can start predicting Paris_Roubaix? Boonen or will Gilbert give it a go? Same for Tour de Flandres.

Usually I survive the winter by watching women's biathlon on German TV. But now Magdalena Neuner has retired...

Confession, my day job has me doing statistics for College Wrestling here in the United States, and the season is November-March. As a result, I usually spend much of that time either behind this computer at home, behind this computer in college wrestling arenas or in hotels, or on planes between one and the other.

My offseason:

1) Pick an unbeatable CQ team
2) Watch old tours/classics
3) Decide who won the 1996-2005 tours
4) Fall into depression at the lack of bike racing to watch
5) Watch Nordic and see the same 5 people on the podium in different orders every week
6) Watch the Belgians win every single cyclo-cross race
7) Get a new bike for x-mas.

sporza cycling yearly overview still coming up on october 23rd! other than that it's probably fall into depression / watch cyclocross/ rewatch old races while feeling sad on the trainer/ prepare CQ team / lurk the clinic / count down the days to TdU / after TdU count down days to march / train for next season.

it's gonna be a busy off-season.

NFL and National Hunt horse racing will fill the winter for me. I might also watch the odd bit of Track cycling if it is on
