It's wrong to have so many MTFs, as it would be wrong to have 10 stages for sprinters.

Like Tour de France. The horrible and boring first week year after year.

It makes the race more fun I think. I would rather see the same 5 riders vying for a win on a MTF than the same 5 riders going for a flat stage finish. However I do think that the Vuelta should have more climbs/stage to give breakaways better chances.
Moser fanboy.

This just in. Unofficial:

Prudhomme says Tour 2013 will take place with 8-rider teams, and not 9 riders for security reasons. However there will be 22 teams.

finally a good news
Btw this is the Vuelta.
A race that doesn't give an attacker the chance to finish it off alone is not a race anymore.

BACK Vilagarcía host the arrival of the second stage of the Tour 2013
EFE News
Vilagarcía, Oct 25 (EFE). - The second stage of the Tour of Spain 2013 will end in Vilagarcía, as confirmed today the mayor of Pontevedra, Thomas Fole.
The prologue of the Spanish race, on August 24, and will come out from the goal Vilanova located in O Grove, possibly in the isthmus Lanzada.
A day later, the peloton will head Vilagarcía, but has yet to close the exact point where the target is located.
Fole recalled that last August, a stage of the Tour came from Vilagarcía and represented "a huge success", and predicted that next year "will be even more spectacular."
Gustavo César Veloso, who ran the last edition of the Vuelta with Andalusia, stressed that an arrival is "much more dramatic" than one output, and has been suggested as alternatives to locate the line of the mountains and Lobeira Xiabre.
