The stage will be 220 kms long from Sillian (Austria) to Vetriolo Terme. Passo Lavazè to be climbed in the middle.

I wouldn't mind for him to do the Giro- it has a long ITT, he went well on Mende so he should handle steep stuff (though the climbs are longer) and he could get a top 10 in a GT, boosting his confidence and leaving the TDF to De Gendt . If worse comes to worst there he can just support Rujano and have another good stage race beforehand.

First part of his season

GP Marseillaise (29 jan)
Ster van Besseges (1-5 feb)
Ronde van de Algarve (15-19 feb)
Parijs-Nice (4-11 mrt)
Gent-Wevelgem (24 mrt)
Driedaagse De Panne (26-28 mrt)
Ronde van Romandië (23-28 apr)

I assume afterwards training, Dauphiné/Swiss, National Championships, Tour de France

What do you think?

Will Team Katusha get a wildcard for Ronde Van Vlaanderen?
Here are Kristoff and Paolini.

Roche starting his season at the Tour de Mediterranian. I would think he will also do Paris/Nice, Tour de haut var, maybe liege and amstel, either dauphine/swiss, irish road race/tt, tour, san sebastian and vuelta

So we have:
stage1a: Lienz - Lienz (road stage)
stage1b: Lienz TTT 15 kms
stage2: Sillian - Vetriolo Terme MTF 220 kms
stage3: Pergine Valsugana - ???
stage4: ??? - ???

Very hard to beat last year's action, but I do like these a/b setups in small stage races (read: over a weekend type thing) to get maximum return from the pros.

Kristoff would work very well together with Cancellara if they were on the same team.

But they are not on the same Team ;)
Kristoff is riding for Katusha, but when they have no Licence?
Will he change the team?

Hopefully a team rocks up with a full sprint train to win the first two stages and then DNFs the next day :o

Also oman schedule released today. Green mountain, no tt but apparently a hilly stage early on

that would be something to see :D
A race that doesn't give an attacker the chance to finish it off alone is not a race anymore.

Will be a battle between Contador and Dombrowski for the overall imo. Contador will obviously come out on top, though.

Dombrowski will try to peak at Giro and then 2nd half in USA PC Challenge. I doubt he'll be in that good shape to challenge for win even without Contador with long season goals ahead.

But hey, I'd love to see that :)

It's just a matter of being a climber, and having somewhat decent form. I'm sure Dombrowski will do well in Oman. Who peaks for that race?

No, he simply was the only good climber around.

Even so, i'm pretty sure neo pros in their first big pro races are going to be turning up ready to ride rather than rolling around waiting for their season target like a big shot.
