I actually think Goos is far more of a climber than a time trial specialist really. Not that special though. Indeed Kruijswijk is a good example, but it turned out Kruijswijk has great 3rd week recovery. We don't know that of Goos yet.
He could turn into another Theo Eltink but could also turn out to be great. We'll see, no pressure

I took a risk to have Goos in my CQ team but i hope it works out.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong

The Grand Boucle wasn't just Europe's for the taking.

From Acquarone
@Albumciclismo @_DavidTurnbull @ECasapietra the @TirrenAdriatico presentation should take place on the 29th, 30th or 31st of January.

Quite precise. -.-
A race that doesn't give an attacker the chance to finish it off alone is not a race anymore.

Apparently Strade Bianche will be raced on Saturday, March the 2nd, while the next day will be held the Giro Del Lazio.
Weird, really.

Perhaps now, some of the riders who would go to P-N can race Strade before and have the Sunday as rest-day

it may be. But I think the main reason is to have Rome on a Sunday, which would lighten the traffic.

Anyway, worse riders have finished top 10 in the TDF (Lemevel, Zubeldia, LLS...). Always some lucky guy in there who's gained a lot of time from breakaways. Why not Nieve? I certainly wouldn't put money on him not being 10th, at least :p

Zubeldia hadn't finished in the top 10 of a GT in 5 years and had no results of note whatsoever in 2012 before TDF and the entire 2011 season. You can't possibly say you expected him to finish 6th

And I'm not saying he's bad, just saying that imo it would be a lot less surprising if Nieve top 10's the TDF than Zubeldia's top 10 was.

what the hell does that have to do with it? you literally said that worse riders(zubeldia your words) have top 10'd a gt, which is downright ridiculous considering zubeldia's palmares.

What about Henao? He will only help Wiggins and Froome, or he will have a free role in at least one GT (most probably Vuelta)?

This is actually from last week but only just saw it.

Valverde thinks he can podium tdf.

Good luck with that.

He still believes that?

Not gonna happen, but not impossible though, who would have thought purito would have podium'd in 2 GT's

Zubeldia had been in the wilderness for a while but he shown in the past he is a handy GC rider. He was signed as a domestique and was not getting many chances. Last year the team imploded in the Tour which moved him up the order. I thought he did well in the Tour.

It will be interesting to see if Valverde and Rodriguez's ride in the Vuelta can be repeated this year or was it just a case of Contador being underdone but still good enough to win and Froome being overdone from the Tour. I have my doubts about both of them but it would be more interesting if they were pushing for a podium place. Throw in Evans also if he is healthy.
