Not sure what all the moaning is for - that's a very chunky MTF for this time of year and a few of the other stages are potentially interesting.

This place really is getting ridiculous when only MTF or a 40km TT counts as an interesting stage anymore.

What stages?
FYI basically no one moaned about the TA route, for example..., and for the record the best stage of that route on paper is not a MTF.
A race that doesn't give an attacker the chance to finish it off alone is not a race anymore.

All 4 profiles published have the makings of very good racing.

Half the problem here seems to be people getting too used to ridiculous scaling on the profiles - if you actually read the numbers on the MTF stage, the whole stage is up and down with a very serious climb to finish.

so? It's certainly not the first time I see the Montagne De Lure, I know what it's like.
Stage 4 and 5 are passable - but stage 6 is basically the worst possible option going to Nice. So it comes down to
a prologue
3 sprints
stage 4 which has some potential
an average MTF
a horrible final road stage
the very same MTT of last year.

Well that's a pretty bad route.

Could be, but I think a team like Saxo will send Rogers, Kreuziger, Roche and support riders. Looks like a train.

Blanco lineup so far:

CLEMENT Stef Netherlands
GESINK Robert Netherlands
KELDERMAN Wilco Netherlands
KRUIJSWIJK Steven Netherlands

Could also provide a hop-along.

Yeh none of the Saxo riders really strong enough climbers for them to go hard for one leader. Rabo maybe for Gesink but you never know with them :o Maybe Movistar for Costa? Think TJVG looks big favourite though.

The Butcher will ride Strade Bianche, Tirreno, and Milan-San Remo.

Strade Bianche will be a return to the roads of the crash that ruined most of his debut season.

Lazio

Has the Lazio parcours been announced yet? It's two weeks today and there's still nothing on the Gazzetta website.

From the planimetry it seems the cobbled sector will be only 1.6 kms long, ending at 3 kms to go. Much more hilly than expected

His first race will be Catalunya. He is busy setting up a regional team in Venezuela at the moment, it seems.

GP Lugano 1.1 will be Sinkewitz´ first race in 2013. His team Meridiana Kamen planned to start in Laigueglia, but didn´t reeive the licence in time due to post adress errors.

I could very well imagine that this "error" story isn´t true, and UCI tries to prevent Sinkewitz (and so his team) from racing. Let´s see if they take the start on Sunday...
