I thought it was more of a "stage" race? (maybe even a stage "race" or staged race).

Technically it's just 5 one-day races.

Different start list each day so they're all seperate.

Last year biciclismo carried live text so hopefully again.

Also, would be good to know who is actually riding rather than just having 12 man squad lists.

Hmmmm, 10 man teams it seems -

http://www.biciciclismo.com/cas/site/noticias-ficha.asp?id=59101

They really are selling themselves as warm weather training pretending to be a race.

As the previous point made perfectly clear, the difference is Mallorca just lets teams ride as many people as they like, whereas other 'races' tend to conform to the standard number of riders for that category of race.

Please feel free to start a pointless debate about this, but I won't be joining you.

Just warming up to beat Farrar, Matthews and Rojas by 10 bike lengths to take the win ;)
...[Walsh] thinks we're ahead of the curve. But think about it for a sec. We're building long-lasting, trusting relationships with people who are spending a lot of money - Coke, Nike, Subaru. If we're f***ing lying, we can kiss it all goodbye. And if we were lying we'd do some stupid stuff to try to cover it up, wouldn't we? Does anybody think for a second that a secret that big wouldn't come out? Bill Stapleton

We'll have to organise a wake; the forum is going to be distraught.

Top 5: 1. De Haes 2. Farrar 3. Swift 4. Petacchi 5. Ventoso

The difference is that the people who choose Qatar tend to be those peaking for the classics who are further along their preparation and tend to take the race more seriously.

Yep, impressive bunch sprint win for Swift behind the break away.

I would say this could be the start of a return for Farrar but then this is February, he's been beat by Kenny, and I never really rated him before his decline either.
