Waste of a Bastille Day stage.
Waste of a week-end stage.

I doubt any of you will miss it, despite your claims.

Wild card teams are pissed about the combativity award yesterday.

Probably they could not fit an exciting stage as well as the Roubaix stage in the same weekend because of the world cup. Besides considering France in the final, there would be more interest there compared to lesser visibility of French riders in the TDF

Can't sit around and watch this - it's worse than watching paint dry.

See you tomorrow :D

Even an ITT would have been better. Come to think of it, has there been an ITT on Quatorze Juillet?

Ten Dam in the break makes no sense. He's the only one to help Dumoulin uphill. They can't rely on Kragh.

I'm guessing tomorrow finishes earlier than usual?

Yes

The average speed has to be something like 37.5 km/h for the stage to not finish before the kickoff

Has any WT teams been in the break at all this week? I thought they needed funding but I guess they rather stay anonymous in the peloton.

It's beyond comprehension. My guess is that the TdF still have nice ratings and a good cash flow so they don't have to apply themselves to deliver an exciting route. Right now, it's all about which cities that pays the most. Put Zomegan in charge and he will deliver what we all want, exciting racing on beautiful stages and most of all, the Crostis-Zoncolan double!

It really is a waste of air time, when we could be watching the women's Giro which is going on parallel to the first week of the Tour.

This type of stage should never be on a weekend.

Out of the 8 weekend stages, 4 of them are dead flat sprints?

The only two mountain stages that are on the weekends seem to be the worst ones as well.

I really don't understand this trend of the Tour to put all the crap stages on the weekend.

The cobble stage is the one exception of course.
