This is why the riders can and have to end all this nonsense. They act like they're not in control of this situation but they are. Whatever they decide to do as a collective group will determine this whole doping situation.

I've said it before, the riders are the ones that can stop all this doping. It's on them and will always be on them. Letters like Gutierrez leads further proof to me they (or the majority of riders) really don't want to stop it.

I'm just glad there are investigation going on because I think we're going to get closer to the truth about cycling & sports in general than we ever have before, regardless whether Landis has an ax to grind. Personally I don't think he's lying to a great degree were we can throw out everything...

The key thing here is to disassociate the message from the messenger. Like has been said here and in other threads, Landis is confirming in detail what lots of others were already thinking about Armstrong and cycling in general.

I think this is the most realistic outcome. A large bomb would need to be found for the large majority of these allegations to stick quickly. It's more likely stuff will trickle out like a leaky faucet.

Those people calling Landis a complete liar I don't get, this issue is way more complex than black or white. Did he lie when he said he didn't use steriods during the 2006 Tour? Did he lie about his HGH use during the 2006 Tour? Did he lie about his drug use during his time at U.S. Postal...

I have a feeling LA will survive this in the U.S. As for Europe, I'm not all that sure. It really depends on whether Landis has a smoking gun. I hope Landis holds on to some evidence to be shown later because "the machine" is going to come after him hard. He's going need something substantial to counter the rebuttals to come.

If I recall correctly you might be right in the sense that OLN did have a 1hr weekend wrap showing highlights from that weeks stages for a couple of yrs.
