Indeed. A rider of Matthews' ability should have at least an MSR, Amstel and WC win, along with a couple of top results at Flanders. I do think Sagan also got into his head early in his career
Michael Matthews wins this hands down for me. He should have a much better palmares, but never quite got that Milan SanRemo win, Flanders podium or Giro/second TDF points classification.

What has Gigante done to deserve this constant run of luck?
Gigante is a true racer. Despite her demeanour and bike handling limitations, if she smells blood she'll try to strike. Reusser being slightly unwell explains her teams actions
Hopefully Gigante has finally turned a corner. It's always a flash of massive potential followed by an unlucky crash. Or a crash from bad bike handling. Or an illness/heart condition.
