You view it the exact opposite way that I would - I'd say the National Federation is blocking their own riders from worlds.... The Trade Teams pay the riders' salaries all year long, and typically National federations provide jerseys and shorts for the National Team riders and let the riders...

'Lovable Character'? Some guys I know met him at the GP Montreal a year or two ago and he was a huge d**che. That said, he's a scrappy sprinter and I like him none the less :P

I think those look pretty good...the white on the inside means its POC's new MIPs edition Octal.... nice anti-concussion technology.

Also interesting that they're both riding Ridley's since the team is sponsored by Argon 18...I see in their press release that the helmet supplier is still Rudy Project too (http://www.jellybellycycling.com/archives/970) ....guessing they just haven't received their bikes or helmets yet.

I noticed in the new pictures of the Cannondale-Garmin boys (Hesjedal, Moser) training in Australia that they're wearing POC MIPS helmets (white foam inside instead of black) ...looks nice actually!

There were some concerns about the Road bikes too apparently... I've heard from a reputable source that more than one of the pros riding older model Focus bikes had custom bikes made by Sarto and badged to look like a Focus.....that was several years ago though - it seems like the new Focus...

You make it sound as though Cervelo and Cannondale bikes are night and day apart.... I would argue that they're pretty darn similar....the SuperSix Evo High-Mod isn't that different than the R5s (or even R5ca) that most of the Garmin-Sharp guys were used to riding... I doubt the team would...
