New site design: Post all feedback here

There's one good thing about the redesign: I'm spending far less of my time on Cyclingnews.

    IAM Cycling

Michel Thétaz is a fan of cycling who hoped to combine business with pleasure. But no business can justify pouring money without end into a losing proposition. I believe IAM had the hope of signing Cancellara for the end of his career. That might have given the team a firmer Swiss fan base...

    Tour de San Luis 2016

Re: Re: Then Mareczko shouldn't have been wearing the same jersey and going to the same team meetings.

Re: New Jerseys - 2016 Season - TeamKits-Maillots-Tricots-Te It makes me wonder if Northwest Venezuela will also sponsor a team.

ASO wants to leave World Tour in 2017

Re: I think you have that backwards. I have no particular brief for the ASO, but you can't get around the fact that it does the heavy lifting by organising the events. If worst came to worst, the TdF could revert to ad hoc national teams and probably remain a going concern. The UCI exists...

MTN-Qhubeka only signs riders that can speak english

Well, on Trek, everyone has to understand Cancellaran.

    Dumoulin.

Re: Re: The arguments for an unclean TD that have been advanced in this forum boil down to: he rode faster than competitors who should have dropped him. Counterarguments just get the back of the hand.

    Dumoulin.

I guess that, per the clinicians, we now have the Dumoulin line: anyone behind Tom Dumoulin on a climb must be cleans, QED.

Doping in XCO Mountain Biking: Now with Chicks!

Re: Re: It's probably the guys who weren't good enough for the ski team. You do know that almost all of Switzerland is within thirty minutes of some serious mountain.

    Website Errors.

While I'm glad you corrected your initial statement that Cousin was hit by a moto, you might want to get his first name right as well: it's "Jérôme", not "Antoine".

the sociology of the pro peloton

The Swiss paper Le Temps carried an interesting interview with a sociologist studying the pro peloton. Original link: http://www.letemps.ch/Page/Uuid/a9c942ea-31fb-11e5-903f-511fc5349148/Derri%C3%A8re_les_belles_images_du_Tour_de_France_se_cache_un_monde_de_pr%C3%A9carit%C3%A9 My translation...

Commentary on TNT and other WB brands

I was able to watch much of the TdF on French eurosport, with Alexandre, Jacky, and Richard. The first two are pretty straightforward. Richard's accent comes out when he gets excited, and he's often funny "à l'insu de son plein gré".

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

I always try to keep an open mind, give the benefit of the doubt, wait for evidence... but after today's escape up the mountain, I have to wonder if Froome's nickname shouldn't be "El Chappy"...
