Congratulations to Novak Djokovic, who has won 9 Grand slams in the last 4 1/2 years, since adopting a gluten-free diet.

Re: Re: No. Agassi was an aggressive baseline player. He hugged the baseline, and moved his opponent side to side, until he had an open court, where he would hit a winner. Seles and Hingis used this same strategy. Unlike the defensive players like Nadal, Borg, Hewitt, Chang and Wilander...

Re: The "passport" went into full implementation (they need a few months of tests to establish a baseline) just over a year ago. Nadal hasn't won a slam since, even though he is just as strong as ever. The first time in over 10 years that Nadal hasn't won at least one slam in a calendar...

They do discuss the aging of the tennis players in the tennis forums. There are those of us that keep reminding people how tennis looks more and more unbelievable, but the hyper-partisan emotionally stunted fan-boys, refuse to listen. http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=703153

I just want to pre-congratulate Serena on her GRAND SLAM (all 4 grand slam events in one calendar year). Technically she hasn't won it yet, but at the age of 34 (about 10 years beyond a woman's traditional peak in tennis) she is UNSTOPPABLE ! AMERICA'S GREATEST FEMALE ATHLETE OF ALL TIME !

Nadal is not the same physical specimen that he was. He is a bit slower, a bit weaker, and has a bit less stamina. He CAN'T win without a significant physical advantage over his opponent. His tennis is just not good enough. I could only speculate as to why this is, however he has had these...

    Doping in Soccer/Football

Probably already covered here, but just in case it isn't. A couple of articles on a suspicious German Doctor, who has treated many footballers, tennis players, and track athletes...

Re: Courier was a "grinder", much like the Spaniards, Argentinians, and Muster were in the 90s. This in itself isn't strong evidence that he was doping, but my guess is that it was better than a 50/50 chance that he was.

Re: The "MensTennisForums" thread and stats aren't mine. I am sure that doping was going on in tennis before the Murray/Djokovic/Nadal era. Certainly Agassi and others were using anabolics, but today's tennis players have gone beyond that and are clearly using HGH/IGF-1, EPO/Autologous...

One of the effects of a doped up sport, is the "ageing of champions", where older competitors can compete long after traditional peaks were passed. Like in Baseball's "steroids era" where 40 year olds were pitching 90+ mph, and hitting 40+ home runs. The same thing has happened in tennis. Some...

    Banning Nations for Doping

    Banning Nations for Doping

Clearly some nations do a better job than others to discourage doping. Some nations seem to actively encourage doping. In theory, it sounds like a reasonable initiative to ban the worst of those nations. However, if you tried to punish those nations that are doing a poor job at outing their own...

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

Every time someone has success in a drug riddled sport (like tennis or football, or athletics, or cycling), their fanboys argue that their guy is different. We have heard all of the same "arguments" for Armstrong and Contador being clean (before they were officially caught), as we are now...
