    2018 Tour of Flanders

Re: Because its so difficult and frustratig to do chasing whith a quick step rider on your wheel, I expect that other favorites will do their best to prevent that situation. If some of them will be too smart too soon and will just rely e.g. on Sagan to chase all attacks, they will loose all...

    2018 Tour of Flanders

Re: This time everybody knows, what happens, if they let quick step riders go. This is the main scenario, which have all other favorites to avoid. I hope they will together cover any quick step attack a they will "pay back" that frustration they have got in the past races, when they were...

Clearly the biggest favorite is quick-step. Other favorites (and their teams) have the best chance, when they "cooperate" a bit to get quick-step under control by covering their attacks together. If they let someone from quick-step go away, they have all lost. I think this time they will work...

Previously I was thinking, that Sagan has blocked Cavensdish, but after I have rewatched crash videos, I have changed my mind. Here are pictures showing movement of riders until contact between Sagan and Cavendish: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ueB6AgZ8cHvklkLS2 1 - everything OK, every rider is...

Isn't there a bit too much irony in your post? What happend in stage 4 and after that, cannot be changed, but still it's a good impulse to think about things. And its even better, when you forget the names and just think in general. Referees from table will never find out a better rule, but...

points system change As I have never agreed with that points system change since 2015, which on purpose undervalued certain stage standings to hurt one rider, I have recalculated points for Kittel and Demare according to the both systems. Till stage 7 Demare has lost 9 points nad Kittel has...

Many sprinters did in the past moves, which were not considered dangerous, because other riders avoided them. Now UCI wanted to send a message about safety and did what they did. If there would be a proper rule, the riders would have been penalized every time, when the rule is broken, and there...

Exactly, it is easier, when there is an accident. But when you loose causality, you loose also justice. If something is dangerous, than it is dangerous regardless an accident and vice versa.

Here is some video mentioning that drain hole too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL8njAL6n5Y It could be a combination of more unfortunate factors, as spectators were just behind that drain hole and Cav needed to move at that moment...

If someone says, that the current situation in cycling e.g. rules and how they are applied, is one of the reasons for this outcome, do you think its absurd? Clearly the written rule about not changing the line is broken in many sprints, as riders go for gaps or follow wheels. Even as it is...

    Tour de France 2017 stage 4: Mondorf-les-Bains-Vittel 207 km

This accident shows, how serious problem cycling has. There is a rule about not changing line and there is everydays sprinting, which is quite different. Sprinters are following wheels or going for gaps and by doing that, they are changing their lines. Riders who are behind, has to follow or to...

    Tour de France 2017 stage 6: Vesoul > Troyes - 216 km

Becasue of antisagan points system change from 2015 Demare lost today against Kittel 20 points instead of 10 poinsts according to the previous poinsts system. With the previous points system Demare would probably win the green jersey. It should hit Sagan and now it hits the french rider. What a...
