Aha ok, sounds like a reasonable border. Still, according to wikipedia the Mont du Chat belongs to the Jura range. The other climbs (Mont Clergeon and Sapenay) are indeed a bit tricky. Btw, I totally missed the 20th stage, and for some reason was expecing a 21th one! :o

Nice Tour Rghijsens! You indeed found a lot of extra climbs outside the Alps and the Pyrenees. I'm not sure what you meant that you were more strict in selecting your climbs. You seem to get as close towards the Alps as I did. Nevertheless, great attempt and I'm looking forward to the last two...

Tour de france without Alps and Pyrenees Stage 20: Evry - Paris (126 KM) Off course, even this strange Tour will finish with a parade stage on the Champs Elysees. Over here you can find an overview of this Tour. Even though it seemed hard to create a proper Tour without using the main mountain...

Tour de france without Alps and Pyrenees Stage 19: Aix les Bains - le Grand Colombier (125 KM) The final mountain stage! I like to follow the despicable Tour tradition by making this a really short one. In first instance I created a much harder and longer stage. But afterwards I realized that...

Tour de france without Alps and Pyrenees After a well deserved rest day, it's time to kick off the final week with a heavy time trial! Stage 15: Loriol sur Drome - Vernoux en Vivairais (47 KM ITT) As I've said before, I really liked the idea of including one flat and one hilly time trial in...

Tour de france without Alps and Pyrenees Stage 14: Aix en Provence - le Mont Ventoux (172 KM) Today is propably the least surprising stage of this Tour. Off course I will include the Monster of the Provence in my race. However, I've made the run-in somewhat heavier. Hopefully this will lead to...

Tour de france without Alps and Pyrenees Stage 12: Espaillon - le Mont Aigoual (225 KM) Again a long and difficult stage. Today the peloton goes from the Aveyron towards the Cevennes. Just like yesterday's stage today is filled with short steep climbs. However, there is one difference. The...

Tour de france without Alps and Pyrenees Stage 11: Mauriac - Estaing (177 KM) This is one of my favourite stages of this Tour. After starting in Mauriac I've decided not tot go for the obvious option, and visit the Cantal Mountains. Instead I decided to go towards the Aveyron Department. It...

Tour de france without Alps and Pyrenees Great stuff Libertine and Togo. Doi Suthep is propably the most beautiful temple I've ever seen. Chiang Mai is awesome anyway! Let's give it an 8. As you all, I really like the Yorkshire, cobbles and Vosges stages. Overall, the Alps and Pyrenees stages are pretty well designed as well. However, this Tour is missing a real queen stage. Next to this, the amount of time trialling is ok, but I don't like that the TT is...
