I Hate to do this but Brad Wiggins

it must've been this bus, judging by the damage they sought to do him.

To what extent do you support a team?

But I made a reasonable attempt, which is where I set the bar for acting respectfully. I have a surname that most people who live in the country find difficult to pronounce, at least on first encountering it: I don't mind if people get it wrong, but I do consider it rude if they don't even try.

Which make it stranger that you can't make at least a reasonable attempt at spelling Uijtdebroecks. It is the barest minimum that respect for another person calls for. Really can't understand why anyone would choose to celebrate Mas's ignorance/laziness by imitating it.

Teams & Riders Derek Gee is the new G

I agree that the amount of 30m is laughable: opening gambit?

Teams & Riders Derek Gee is the new G

It's much simpler than that: if anyone, musician, sportsman, or bus driver, wants the benefits of a contract, he has to accept the obligations of said contract. If there are commitments in the contract he is not willing to be bound by, he shouldn't sign it. Unreasonable behaviour by the...

    2025 UCI Gravel World Championships

I know it is far from the first time it has happened, but if there is that degree of riding for trade teams while in national kit, and instructing riders to races against the interests of riders that are racing for the same team as you on the day, then the whole principle of national teams must...

    2025 UCI Gravel World Championships

So, we have all "admired" the teamwork ability of Dutch women's national teams on several occasions. Is Kasper's win inevitable from a group of 5? Or will the chasing group catch up, and the Dutch take places 4-12?

To what extent do you support a team?

It's used by people who think that Mas's ignorance or laziness is something to be celebrated.

Il Lombardia 2025, monument, October 11

What mystifies me is when Man City supporters living in Northampton act as though they have some sort of superior knowledge or understanding by virtue of having decided to pick that team rather than one that they might have a more natural disposition towards.

Should Pro Cycling Teams Build Stronger, Franchise-Like Brands?

At risk of doing @Carolin Schloßer 's work for her, and to consider what I find an interesting issue without the focus on a non-sponsor dependent team identity, I've started a thread with a poll.

To what extent do you support a team?

Prompted by discussion here, after invitation to a questionnaire about teams' long term identity, I thought it might be interesting to see how much teams play a part in the 'fanhood' of this sport. Some answers in the poll pretty much exclude all others, but some are mutually compatible, so...

In that case Gee undervalued himself. If he believed that he would be better than the salary he was negotiating was offering he (or those acting on is behalf) should have included bonuses, or release clauses if someone offered more. Or he should have committed himself for a shorter time, if he...
