I think a lot of us saw points washed away in the cold rain today. Weatabix got soggy and dropped to 12th. Riccitello fared even worse. Quite a few DNFs. But I don't have Roglic.

Heck of a lot of DNFs. A lot must have suffered in the cold. Riciitello dropped like a stone. Hard conditions for tiny, skinny guys I guess.

I'm dropping in the rankings. I didn't really have much of a squad in the Flandrian/cobbled classics ... and have too many long term injured/sick. So I take pleasure from small victories such as Noah Isadore going into profit. And, of course, watching the largely game neutral Seixas (I did have...

    You were a tad premature.

I know you are all moaning. But, you know, some perspective. We haven't had a Lambrecht moment, thankfully. That almost killed this game for me.

Only 10 points in Dwars. Not much hope of a haul until next week realistically. Though I have a stacked team of 11 for Itzulia. Sigh.

I am regretting Poole more than some of the others because I knew it was Snogging disease and that can just linger on for years.... as Cavendish would testify. I probably should have known better.

Catalunya saved by Uijtdebroeks and Riccitello's mediocre efforts. Otherwise all a bit bobbins. But Lamperti stormed intop profit with 5 points.

If you remove expectation, and even hope, it makes it easier. Even the good riders have bad times. Take Pidcock yesterday ... and for my team, Paul Double, who I had expected to be up nearer the front. The best part for me is having young riders who I wouldn't otherwise have paid much attention...

Lamperti breaks even in March with 235 pts, which does bode well for one of my rarer picks. Very happy with that. I have just 5 riders yet to score and Bisiaux should break his duck this week. One would hope. Not a great squad for he one dayers, but I am quite hopeful that my Catalunya guys...

Pellizzari becomes my top scorer (just) and Cian gets of the mark. Dongel disappointed with just the cinq points. Seems Pellizzari's tendon can't be too bad.

I would hope that he skips Milan Torino and Sanremo , both of which he is down to ride. Tendons take time to sort out usually. Having said that, if he rides those two races with any commitment, it would indicate that the tendon issue wasn't too bad.

It didn't work out today, but brave effort.
