Finn, Adria and Zanna all still in play on Sardinia. Zanna in pole position. Only about 30 riders still in it realistically.

Pablo Torres is listed in both Sardegna and Faun Ardeche. Speaking of which... that is one heck of a stacked field.

Not a bad weekend. Steady points with the inconsequential Seixas. Best really was Riccitello who is now my top scorer... and a meaningful rare pic, quite surprisingly to me.n He has recouped well over a third of his cost before the end of February. Pretty pleased with J G Martinez too...

Fitting that Seixas announces his arrival proper at the Algarve, where Pog did the same.

Van Gils was in my long list but I like picking younger riders in general ... for entertainment purposes. One year it will deliver. even before Van Gils' unfortunate brush with Christen, I think I'd have more fun with a bunch of cheaper young riders with potential.

Decent teams this week with a popular debut of Seixas. Jaen - Pellizzari, Cosnefroy UAE - Thornley, Dinham, Porter, Nordhagen Andalucia - Cosnefroy Algarve - Seixas, Riccitello, Hobbs, Krijnsen, Poole, Widar, J G Martinez. Next weekend still uncertain.

Matthew Riccitello is the next Adam Yates thread

Fierst stage and stage race win of the year. And he looked comfortable enough doing it. Bodes well. I thought he might switch to the Giro this year but heading for La Vuelta again. Algarve this week. That's a tough field.

A slightly better week for me. Very encouraging signs from Riccitello who I had high hopes for this year. Similar pick to Pellizzari ... reasonably expensive but potential for a decent leap forward. And, crucially, not on many teams.

So a few points from Widar, Lamperti, Cosnefroy this weekend... and agood start to Riccitello's season. What happened to Poole? One minute he's in the front group, next minute he's several minutes down.

Even better when you do that and get "no results" because they have finished outside of the 90 finishers published so far.

Hoping for a smattering of points over the coming weekend. Provence - Lamperti and Riccitello Murcia - Cosnefroy Figuera - J G Martinez, Poole, Widar + Lorenzo Finn. Almeria - Krijnsen

I've had him in my CQ team for 3 years now. This year I fancy him to score well.

Good to see Paul Double getting some decent points in Oman. nerurkar grabbed a few and Torres .... well, he scored. Looking forward to Provence now, where Riccitello makes his debut. Hoping for some GC points.
