And that's probably the reason for his limited spring schedule, already stoping after PR as I understand it. He will do MTB in May.

If you live in Belgium CX matters alot. And it has produced some strong road cyclists, latest one being Thibau Nys. You may not care, but it is special that someone can be dominant in three different disciplines. Seeing his power and technical brilliance in CX is, at least for me, a thing of...

100 % sure? Really? He doesn't stand a chance against Pidcock, Healy, van Gils, Skjelmose, Carapaz, etc. I don't buy it, not favorite sure, but no chance at all of winning? Think you are downplaying MVDP's capabilites too much here. But I won't go on about this, MVDP himself has said that he...

So you are confident that if MVDP goes all in for LBL he would not reach top 10 if Pog and Remco where not riding? I disagree. And don't worry Pog would still be goat if MVDP got podium in LBL in the absence of Pog...

Agree, he looked quite good in some of the later crosses. I don't give him much of a chance against Pog and MVDP in RVV but I won't write him off just yet in PR. In 2023 he had that late puncture, otherwise he looked damn good that year. What I might fear is that MVDP is stronger now than then...

In GdL he can't compete, in LBL he can if he were solely focused on it which he isn't. When he rode LBL last year it was the last race in a long spring campaign where his man focus was on peaking for RVV and PR and which he won. Sure, Pog and Remco are just too strong in LBL, but beside them...

I think MVDP realizes that for him to be competative in Strade he need a proper build up which is difficult considering his CX ambitions, and he doesn't want to peak too early considering his main goals are RVV and PR. MVDP himself has said that the level nowdays is higher than ever and that...

Maybe there is something to it but I think the sample size is to smal to draw a definate conclusion. MVDP gained over a minute on three chasers in Worlds when he won. RVV is more climbing than in PR and I think that fatigues MVDP a little bit more than Pog. PR is different.

Pog surely wants to win PR this year, but I also think it's about gaining experience and learning to ride the race. To better understand what he needs to do to one day win the race. Just like MSR and RVV. First year in RVV he did great and realized that Kwaremont is absolutely crucial for him...

I think the data will decide which strategy MVDP will have. If he is stronger than 2023 and thinks he is in a better position to follow Pog on Kwaremont and/or ridning against Pog on the flat, he might take his chances riding like he did in 2023. Otherwise he might change it up. Exactly how I...

If it's dry I think Pog will be fine bike handling wise. If wet I could see more problems especially against someone like MVDP who just stormed over cobbles even in the wet edition taking a second in every corner.

What doesn't mean to underestimate Pog in PR? To say he is not the top favorite? Most post I've read says he is one of the contenders behind the favorite MVDP. Is that to underestimate him?

So what will MVDP do next sunday? Sit on Pog's wheel and trust he can follow him on Kwaremont and then try beating him in the sprint? And jf he can't follow, hope WVA or Mads is nearby so they togheter can form a strong chase. Or will he try a different strategy? What will that be then? Explode...
