But they won't get the name recognition they crave from something that has no history or heritage behind it. All they had to do was add more branding around stages or the jerseys. Look at X, how many people still call it Twitter ?

but it makes no sense, the race has forever been know as the Dauphiné, yes it happens in the Rhône Alpes region of France, but the Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes region hasnt even been around for a decade yet, and you are throwing away nearly 80 years of heritage and instant name recognition...

The problem is ime the moment you start mucking around with oh this would be the best stage to win stuff for the media exposure etc etc etc, the race kicks you back hard, you can't plan this stuff, you have to go with the moment when it happens naturally, (see Cav). We all know he'll win #100...

I think the heat on the earlier stages absolutely drained her, so she's sort of just in recovery ride mood today. Might also be why she doesn't like doing the Giro

I know she was ill earlier in the year and took a while to get over it, only down for TT in nationals, not road race
