    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

It's not a difficult concept to understand at all; it just strains credulity when considering the leap forward he has made and the level he was already on.

So Remco's 3rd in the TDF means nothing but Lipowitz's does?

Teams & Riders The Red Bull - Bora - Hansgrohe team thread

What's "for sure" is that he was the best GT rider this season. The recency bias in this forum, in particular as regards Remco v Lipowitz, is off the charts. Everyone talking like Lipowitz is some young up and coming contender and Remco is a busted flush already (being a whopping 8 months older...

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

This really takes the biscuit. So his new trainer introduced some intervals (hitherto unknown in the world of cycling!) and all of a sudden he takes a giant leap. Ridiculous.

Remco and Roglic vs the World

    Isn't that against the rules?

"From now on"? He'll be 36 in 3 months. There's every chance he will retire once his contract is up at the end of next year.

So, not breaking any "Clinic Rules" what exactly are you claiming?

As far as Roglic goes they are only likely to be in the same team for one year and if we take what Roglic was saying during the Tour at face value I don't think he'll be that bothered if he missed the TDF next year anyway.

We should probably reduce cycling to an FTP test indoors to do away with anything silly like drafting, tactics, etc.

So, I would ask you, would you be happy to see sprinters eliminated from the sport?

But if I'm not wrong this seems to be a fairly recent phenomenon. The GC riders weren't desperate to be at the front, say, 20 years ago. At least I don't remember it like that.

I'm not sure why they don't belong; I agree with Sagan which is why I placed a caveat on him - he was clearly a far more talented rider than just winning bunch sprints but he did win a fair share of those.

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 21: Mantes-la-Ville – Paris (132.3k)

Fair enough. As I said I understand your perspective, at the same time for me a TDF world in which the likes of Abdoujaparov, Cipollini, Zabel, Greipel, Kittel, Cavendish, Sagan (to a degree; he would find other ways to win) might not be there would be somewhat diminished. But yes, I get that a...
