You're being too harsch on the race . I think it was pretty great. Why should it be better to have the race decided with 60 km to the line? Today you had no clue, that Wærenskjold would end up winning in the end.
Look, Jumbo has stated several times that they want to win the Vuelta and that all the tree big guys has the freedom to attack. You are the manipulator here.
People are reading way too much into this. Vingegaard was behind both Roglic and Kuss in GC, so of course he would be the first one to attack. Meanwhile Kuss'n'Rog could chill safely behind the others. I don't think Jumbo expected the group to slow down like that.
If Vingegaard really wanted...
Yes, Vingegaard could have done something for WvA, and perhaps it would have been for the best, but come on. Vingegaard did what all other GC contenders have done since forever. Other teams would't even have let Kelderman and Benoot work.
I don't get it. Vingegaard did a lot of attacking in Dauphine and Itzulia. He even tried in Paris-Nice.
In hilly stages Pogacar has the upper hand and attacks. In the mountains it could very well be the other way around.
