Were all of the others on Rhinos / Limus from the start? Thought most opted for Typhoon/Grifos?

Amen to that. I remember a Brand some years ago that looked like an average masters racer, making all kinds of silly mistakes. She still might not be as agile and finely tuned as eg Alvarado but her improvement as a CX rider is impressive. She's the one who really elevated herself. The power was...

That's a bit tough on one of the most talented kids on a bike of his generation but it's slowly becoming a truth that on key sections Del Grosso has the upper hand on Nys, just like MVDP always had on WVA.

Weather forecast for tomorrow is light rain. If it happens it is really going to change the course and make for a very interesting and difficult day for the Elite riders Ps. Verstrynge seems to have decided to end his CX season early not to overreach and have a too long season. Don’t know if...

The relay is fun to watch as it shows how large the differences are between riders and teams. Belgium surprisingly weak.

So what makes a good course?

Courses that really challenges the riders' technical abilities appeal to me. Typically that translates into tricky off-cambers, massive drops, longer sand stretches where the sand does not pack up and some muddy corners. When all of the top riders are riding the whole race clean, making no...

Clearly yes. He started winning races as early as the 14/15 season being only 19 years old. His dominance over a decade is massive despite coming up against generational talents like Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock. As always it's impossible to compare generations but modern cyclocross is so much...

Brand looks completely transformed compared to previous years. Quite smooth and nimble and still powerful. Before it was more like an amateur racer but with a big engine. Now she’s almost as agile as Alvarado who was always one of the best technical riders in the women’s division.

A bit of nostalgia. Sven Nys GP 2006, about 10 years ago. A race where most of today’s best racers participated and some of yesterday’s hard hitters; View: https://youtu.be/mH3coPmHvXY?si=A0gM0-k8zccr5J3h Quite fun to watch. So many good races since then.

Yes, very unfortunate and sad. He was a l’enfant terrible but also an amazing cross rider.

Yes, if WVA quits then it's something to be concerned about. No whining there.

Agree with you on that. Cross is the discipline where the risk of ending up on the deck is the highest but also where the consequences are the smallest. However the worst scenario is the one with ice on tarmac where a rider risks to take a serious fall on a hard surface at quite high speed. Of...

As Eric Cantona used to say in the commercials: ”Luck’s got nothing to do with it” …yet in this case I’m not sure if I believe that. I hope Wout quickly gets better and has a big win this year.
