Absolutely brutal when you compare the xc skiing relays to biathlon. Same distance, lightyears in difference in terms of fiele, competition and Atmosphere.

I think the reason for the new format is due to the new quota regulations. However, if we are honest, there are simply too few countries that can have a 4 man team anyway to justify a competition.

Talking China, I really hope they will use the Beijing venues in the World cup sooner or later and have a Nordic World Championchip there, too. Such a cool venue, I realy miss it comparing it to boring ass Val di Fiemme and the same World Championchip venues like Faun, Lahti, Oberstdorf... over...

Seriously ,with IOC being on the brink of banning Nordic Combined, because of a lack of International competition, XC skiing would not be far off that discussion either.

Fair enough,but somehow it seems that those kinda things always happen to the Norwegians .It aways seems that no matter how far ahead the are, they still feel insecure and need to stack the deck in their favor.

So Norwegians have been caught testing skis after the track was closed, but of course, no significant penalty. Is there any Nation in any sport as shamless as Norway in xc skiing?

Horrible Olympics by Germany, can't wait for Schlickenrieders excuses. That being said, the gap in performance between the Swedish women and men is mind blowing.
