    Sure, that's fair. I'm just assuming Evenepoel can be better than during TDF 2024, and Vingegaard is at Vuelta 2025 level.

    Yes, but for Evenepoel there was an excuse. While I didn't find Vingegaard impressive compared to his 2022-2024 level, for example. If he rides the Giro like he did the Vuelta and Evenepoel would be at his best, I don't think Vingegaard would win that Giro.

    I agree, in 2024 Vingegaard was still much better. I do think Evenepoel is closing the gap to him, and I didn't find Vingegaard impressive in 2025. Would love to see both of them at their best in the Giro, but Evenepoel probably won't ride it.

    He lost 22s in 19km’s at a basically flat ITT in the Giro of 2023. The gap has only increased between them.

    You can't know that beforehand. How are you feeling, how do the other riders feel. If UAE goes hard early again, risk might be low, because Evenepoel will be one of the last ones in the wheel of Pogacar. He could take it easy and still finish on the podium.

    I think he was already riding in Belgium, but probably nothing like he starts doing now in Calpe. Not sure how long he's staying in Calpe anyway. RBH team camp is in 2 weeks, with media day on the 10th of December
