    Trittico Lombardo; 16th, 17th & 18th August

Go Canada! Glad to see two Canadian (Quebec!) boys in the top 5 today. Second win for Veilleux in the last two weeks in Europe, along with Parisien picking up a win at the 2.1 Elk Grove stage race in the USA earlier this month. Veilleux really showed his promise with his top 25 finish in Paris...

    Transfers and Rumours 2012 > 2013

Timmy Duggan is leaving Liquigas for Spidertech for 2013. Interested to see who else they pick up. http://cyclesportmanagement.com/2012/08/17/timmy-duggan-to-ride-with-spidertech-in-2013/

    Tro Bro Leon 2012 - 206.4km (April 15)

This is his 8th top ten this season! I hope he sticks with Spidertech and see if they can sign some GC riders for next year and get some better Wildcard invites. It would be a shame for Steve Bauer's programme if they lose Boivin like they lost Tuft this year.

sram SRAM s975 quarq vs s975 srm power meter cranks

I use a quarq cinco with Rotor 3D cranks and a Garmin Edge 500. It has worked great and is less cash than the SRM setup. You can't go wrong with either the quarq or SRM, but I like that I can easily transfer the Garmin to my cross and MTB bike. Just my thoughts.

Sign here if you think Henao is a future star on the european scene.

Young Venezuelans to watch! In addition to the hotshot colombians, like Henao, there are a couple of young venezuelans who could make a good go of it in Europe. Jose Alarcon finished second to a strong Rujano in the Vuelta Tachira this year and second at the Vuelta a Cuba. Jonathan Monsalve is...

ProTour to Monteal and Quebec city

If the course in Montreal is anything like what they used in the '74 World's the course will definately be worthy of a ProTour race! The results list shows only 18 finishers with Merckx ahead of Poulidor and Martinez. Not exactly your typical "crit" riders. Merckx has called his win in Montreal...

Additives that make a significant performance difference, but not doping

Beet Juice... I have come across an interesting study showing improved endurance (~10%) when drinking beet juice. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2009-08/uoe-bjb080509.php Now the only problem is you have to drink beet juice!

    Hildenbrand kissing Ball's you-know-what

For all of Rock Racings's problems, I have to admit that I think the bikes look pretty slick!

    Two Canadian Pro Tour Events!!

Montreal-Boston? I am happy that Canada is able to host two ProTour events, but I think a one day event in Quebec followed by the previously proposed Montreal-Boston stage race would better promote cycling in North America. As much as Montreal and Quebec are fantastic locales, media and sponsor...

    The next great American rider.

Alex Howes I am suprised nobody has mentioned Alex Howes. Doubles at U23 Nationals and wins the queen stage, kom and 4th overall in Tour of Utah. He also impressed at the US PRO Championships. I also think that Chris Barton (BMC) and another (North) American rider David Veilleux (Kelly...

Why is Ryder Hesjedal so underrated?

How about them apples? Ryder's aggresive riding has finally paid of with the elusive win he has been looking for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIhQrK8BqYI Watch out for him at the World's with a course that suits him well!

Transfers "Rumours & Reality" and Young Guns

Michael Barry.... It sounds like Sky might have picked up one of the best domestiques in the peleton. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/columbia-htc-confirms-2010-roster Hopefully he will finally get a chance to ride the Tour! Henderson and Lokvist look to be joining him at Sky as well.

Best sprinters of the past 25 years

....Marcel Wurst One sprinter that has not been mentioned on anybody's list is Marcel Wurst. Stage wins in all three grand tours (12 Vuelta, 1 Giro, and 1 Tour) Unfortunately, he only had the chance to ride the Tour de France twice where he may have have won more stages and gained more...

Top 10 Cyclists from your country of all time

I think you need to give Svein his fair due (especially compared to some of those on your list (Hugh Walton-Good Rider, but not of Svein's Quality)! He had a strong 7th at the Beijing Olympisc in the ITT against a "strong" field. A third overall in the 2008 Tour of Missouri, 1st at the Tour...
