Pogi is the one who doesn’t rely on strength in this case. MvdP and Phillipsen are, because they can. Pogi can’t rely on strength because he knows he’s not strong enough to win unless he manages to shake them off somehow, which he is trying to do. One could say he’s relying on his strength...
