    Doping in XC skiing

I have taken a look and I agree (and haven't disputed): Norway didn't dominate the junior world championships in the 90s, far from it. There are exceptions of course, mainly Thomas Alsgaard. But I think you've missed my point: Those same juniors that didn't dominate in the junior ranks in the...

    Doping in XC skiing

This would be a very cool story if it was only backed up by facts. I mean, SURE, the norwegians were good in the 90s, but WHO were these norwegians that "ran circles around everyone on the senior level"? Well, they didn't compete much in the junior world's in the 90s as the most successful ones...

Maybe anyone following the french closely can give some more insight to this, but I remember long time NRK ekspert Ola Lunde saying before the season that QFMs training level had dropped off some post the olympics and looking at the ski times this season, it certainly looks that way. This is...

If that (losing what? some 24 seconds to Herrmann Wick on the last lap) is "suspicious" and "as if nothing happened" you have hardly paid attention to what Røiseland is capable of when truly in form.

Apparently some screws were loose on Samuelson's rifle butt. (That sentence looks weird, but hey..) That's preferable to getting the jitters I suppose. Good luck next time Sebbe.

Shocking pace from QFM. Shocking shooting from Samuelson. That italian team is looking more and more exiting by the day.

    Crashes, what can be done?

Not sure I would highlight alpine skiing as a safe sport compared to procycling. Both are obviously extreme sports with high risk, but having watched alpine skiing for almost 40 years, it would amaze me if the chance of serious injuries per athlete per race are not many orders of magnitude...

Étoile de Bessèges 2023 (February 1-5)

Wouldn't say he did poorly, no, but I was pretty confident he'd be somewhere in the top 5 before the stage started.

Darn. Didn't see that coming Powless (or rather, didn't see Skjelmose underperforming here)

First italian relay win in 17 years. Awesome!

Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana 2023 (February 1-5)

It very much looked like it, but according to an interview he did with feltet.dk this afternoon, he didn't.

This season could very well end up in uncharted territory with JTB already collecting 11 wins and he is on a current win streak of 6. However, there has been quite a few impressive seasons and streaks before: Most wins in a season: JTB already holds the record from the 18/19 season with 16...

Junior racing - The stars of the future

Been following skiing for close to 4 decades, but can't recall any male athlete performing at this level the week after turning 18. I mean, sprints, sure, Klæbo and Northug were killing it just a couple of years older, but that isn't really comparable. Awesome that he is doing roadcycling as...

18 year old (!) Jørgen Nordhagen 8th in the 15k interval norwegian championships today. Being 18 and performing like that is pretty much unheard of at that age amongst the men. Good thing is that this one has already signed for Jumbo Visma dev team, thus will hopefully utilize his talent as a...
