    Contador NEVER race Giro again

I think that I have seen an article in Cycling News that quotes Alberto as saying the TDF and Vuelta in one year is possible for him. I really wanted him to do that double in 2010 and couldn't understand why he didn't do it until the news came out in September 2010.

CN forums demographics: Are you an expat?

Hey Barracuda, Texas and Louisiana are both in the same country, but New Orleans is so unique that if you move to another state, it seems like you are in another country. Anyway, born and raised in New York City and Connecticut, went to college in North Carolina, lived a short spell in...

    Contador acquitted

Working within the framework provided by WADA & UCI sometimes works I like your line of reasoning. I have read the UCI and WADA Anti doping rules and see how Contador & his lawyers structured his defense. I would like to read the RFEC dossier or decision to pick out the new arguments that...

Jan Ulrich a wonderful German Who cares about Contador and Cycling! After seeing the picture of Jan, just get me a beer and a seat next to him. Life goes on.

So what is the plan to save cycling?

Set a time date for a General Amnesty. Riders who come forth and admit to drug use in the past are not penalized. Part of the Amnesty would be a detailed explanation of how they drugged, where they got the drugs, and who advised them how to use the drugs. Once the Amnesty Date has passed for...

A Plea For Integrity In Cycling Journalism in 2010

I always thought is was the journalists duty to report the facts objectively and let the readers come up with their own conclusions. Maybe this is the old school of thought. I can read and think for myself and if I want further information, I know how to research.

How to co-exist with a LA fanboy??

Mellow out (no pun intended). There must be more important things in life than discussing Lance! No one is perfect and you have to accept people the way they are(warts and all). If cycling and cycling discussions are a big part of your life, criticize intelligently and with a civil tongue...

    Contador 2010

I question whether Contador needed those experienced riders from Astana last year. He could have won the tour without them. He will have to watch out racing on the cobblestones, but he will be fine in the mountains and in the time trial. Let's see how he and the current Astana team performs...

The Official LANCE ARMSTRONG Thread 2010-2011

I would vote yes and yes. Too much Lance and not enough dancing on the cycling pedals!

    Perfect vs practical PED regimen?

Forget that! Give me liquorice, pizza beer, a woman in great shape, and plenty of natural endorphins. It you can't do it naturally, why do it at all. The are enough dopes in the world without adding dopers!

    Why was Rasmussen blacklisted?

I am there with you. Despite all the claims that he was a doper, was anything actually proven? His ban was based on misleading his team, missed tests, and revocation of his license in Monte Carlo. He was great to watch in the mountains and horrible to watch in the time trials. He would have...

Why is every thread on here to do with Lance???

The easiest way to end a thread about Armstrong is to ignore that thread. I only ride for fun and exercise. Lance is a unique story and he has touched so many people who don't cycle.

July 11: Will you watch Stage 8 of the Tour or the Final match of the World Cup?

If there really is a conflict, a finals match over a stage, seriously is there are choice here? The finals of course, Germany you let me down against Italy last time.

    Busche to the Shack!

I am totally interested to see how well he performs. His CC background gives him a strong endurance baseline and the ability to endure suffering. Evidently, both have helped him cross over to cycling quickly. I wish him well.

When did you FIRST start following the Tour de France?

I started following the Tour de France in 1986 when Greg Lemond, an American, was getting coverage in the USA. I really became a fanatic when the Armstrong phenomena hit the USA. I try to watch every stage, because you never know who is going to something special or when.
