Would be nice if Bettiol at least tries to sprint when he's in an elite group at the finish where he has a chance of winning...

Shaw over Carr seems wierd for me as the latter has had a better season. Doull was also stronger than Shaw at the UK nat champs yesterday, and that was on a hilly course... For the rest two and a halve riders with a giro in their legs (Uran doing abandoning halfway). Bit risky but ok overall.

Healy would be doing everything up to and including LBL? Doesn't seem a fantastic idea with the Giro in mind

That's quite interesting. Though he finished 13nd in GC at the TdF last year, and he's been inconsistent in the GC of the other Grand Tours as well if I go through PCS. Anyhow, what has passed has passed.

Thank God finally someone saying it. Does someone have an idea why they took Owain Doull over him? Edit: saw the post saying he chose to for the Vuelta... Well, the team should have known that his real good form before the TdF wouldn't last. He was golden at Mont Ventoux Challenge.

I think Bettiol, Powless and maybe also Cort also don't want to have a 3 week GT in the legs before the WC (as the WC profile really suits the first two) + they can indeed be used to pick up points in the meantime. Which makes me wonder about Remco's WC ambitions, but that's not a discussion for...

When EF finally release their TdF roster, at this tempo they might send no one to the tour

Tbh I think they should go for Chaves and choose between Valgren or Bettiol. Both capable riders which are reasonable climbers, both inconsistent as hell and pretty bad this season (no one tried that hard when Bettiol got second on that TdS stage).

Three options for him: Biggest talent since Eddy Merckx There's blood in his doping products instead of doping products in his blood He took a vespa uphill since there was no TV coverage

I mean, it has kinda been done before (documented that Ibarguren is now at Movistar, San Millan active for UAE, don't know other examples) but the performance effects of doctors arriving at a team are not really seen consistently. Since the bio passport era, teams who got Ibarguren always...

It's ridiculous: Paris Roubaix: 6 of their 7 riders finished in top 23 (including riders such as Devriendt, Petit, Planckaert and Pasqualon) Kristoff and Pozzovivo being revived to their best level out of nowhere Quinten Hermans getting second at LBL (!!) and doing really well at Romandie...
