Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

This tour is going better than I imagined for Chris Froome. Expected an embarrassing display, and subsequent abandon. I've voiced my dismay over his performances over the years, but this Tour he deserves all the credit I've got to give. Dare I say, his performances have been awe inspiring all...

    Le Tour '18 stage 12: Bourg-Saint-Maurice > Alpe d'Huez 175k

Soon time for the MJ to get to work? :D Ofc, it might all come to nothing in the end, but can't say Sky is in complete control atm. If this persists he'll crest with 7-8 mins!

Curious about Rolland today. His prologue was somewhat of a surprise for me. Otherwise, expecting Roglic to smash the field. I'll be cheering for Egan though. :D

    53rd Amstel Gold Race - 260km

Re: Re: I guess. But don't you think Valgren would've just led them home, giving him at least marginally better odds for the win. After all, for a rider of Roman's stature 2nd or 3rd should be irrelevant in that context. But sure, I see your point if he was 100% he was beat either way.

    53rd Amstel Gold Race - 260km

Hooray for Valgren. :) And well done Jakob. Beware of him next Sunday! Can't help but smile at all the Monday morning quarterbacking in here. Should've, could've, would've ... as if it's a matter of choice after 240k's of hard racing. Imo, it looked like Valgren was simply the strongest, while...

Oops. Time flies when you're having fun. :)

    53rd Amstel Gold Race - 260km

Think Valgren deserves a mention. Perhaps not among the top favourites, but then certainly in the tier below. Came second last edition, and with his win in Omloop and 4th in RvV, he's definately on form.

About time that Jungels shows some form imo. Hoping for some decent showings next couple of weeks.

    2018 Tour of Flanders

Re: Indeed. Cort was excellent as well. Can't help but wonder what could've been though. Mads was so, so close to holding Terpstra's wheel on the Paterberg, and he's quite fast. I believe he would've won, had he been able to! :surprised:

    2018 Tour of Flanders

Re: 2018 Ronde van Vlaanderen Great race imo! Grats to Terpstra, and chapeau Mads! So close. Not too shabby of a Ronde debut. :)

Teams & Riders The official Egan Bernal is the new Egan Bernal thread

Obviously, since it was Rojas that slid out and took him down. Who was the UAE rider? Looked in a bad way as well. (was Dan Martin as feared, but appears he's ok. Finished stage even)
