Stage 6 is a monster. Starting in the small village of Gaupne and ending in Aurlandsvangen (also a small village). From our starting point we bike along the fjord until Skjolden, where the road towards Sognefjell begins. We begin climbing up towards Sognefjell, but at roughly 850 metres above...

Yes, some of the good roads arn't that good early in the summer. While I believe Norway is very pretty late May/early June, this is probably not a feasible time to have the race. It should probably be in August. Here's a picture of the road over Strynefjell in June.

Sure, but it's worth noting that I'm not trying to make an ''ultimate'' Tour of Norway, I'm trying to make a good stage race, with little transfers. Thus Stryn - Juvasshytta made sense to me. I'm aware that there's some distance between the climbs, but it Strynefjell should still sap some life...

Stage 5 starts in Stryn and ends at the highest road in Norway, near Galdhøpiggen, suffice to say it's a hard stage. The route goes eastwards from Stryn, and up the old road over Strynefjell reaching Ottadalen. The riders go down the valley untill the hit Lom where they turn right and go up...

A few hectic weeks are done with, now it's time to continue my (first?) stage race set in Norway. In stage 4 we start in Ørsta, and head out for what will be a rolling stage, that ends with a short stingy climb in Stryn. For the first kilometres the rider's will cycle around the peninsula. After...

Darn it, I knew it was something I should be able to understand. The library link solution seem like the only viable one unless you get a mod to grant you the power of links.

What'chu talkin' 'bout son? :D Trollstigen wasn't originally in my plans, but it appears the road I had intended to use was in awful condition.

Stage 3, another stage for the sprinters is set to go from Åndalsnes to Ålesund, taking us from Romsdal to Sunnmøre. I had originally planned a different route for this leg, but I was unsure of one of the roads had a good enough standard so I had to change it Also I'm trying to avoid tunnels as...

It certainly looks darn steep on Google Maps, a section of 800m at close to 13% if the terrain map is to be believed.

Alrighty, time for stage 2 where we depart Nordmøre and head back into Romsdal. This is a sprinters stage, starting in Kristiansund, the riders head south, over Frei and through the other subsea tunnel serving the city. Then over Gjemnessundbrua and we're back on the mainland. Now we follow...

Right, it's time for the first stage the tour. We begin in the northwest of Norway with a stage from Molde to Kristiansund. Not a perticulary demanding course at first glance, short and flat, but strong winds from the atlantic ocean could make things quite exciting. We start of with a lap of...

Hehe, first stage is Molde-Kristiansund, could be some crosswinds yup. And the tunnel at the end is quite steep, goes to about 250m below sea level. Hope they don't suffocate :D

Sweet, going to have the Oslo finish you requested in the next edition. Also love your races, what software do you use? I should probably get to posting that damn race now. :p
