Very happy for him. It would have been a travesty if he ended his career on just 1 monument win.

1st season without a monument win since 2021. Worst set of monument results since 2019. Not great but he's not washed just yet so i'm sure he'll add more wins in the future.

Pogacar is the lightest rider in the top 10. Only 6 riders in this peloton were lighter than him. He has the exact opposite of a build you'd want for this race. He'd need a perfect race to win here and that didn't happen today. It's okay to lose sometimes, even if you're potentially the best...

Maybe. Maybe not. Crashing and getting sick is a part of racing. If we're going there we might as well say that without his crash last year Vingo could've won the Tour. It's a cool hypothetical but not the reality.

Stage 11 was great but it was an exception. This year he didn't win a stage but was able to put up more of a fight, especially in the last week. Last year he got smoked every mountain stage.

This season is more impressive than last because last year Pogi farmed the Giro against weaker opposition and Vingegaard was less competitive in the Tour than this year. This year he had to beat Van der Poel in cobbled classics, Remco in Ardennes, Vingegaard in the Dauphine and Tour and again...

The way i see it, motorbikes tend to be ahead of the action so if you're frequently at the front a race you're going to benefit more. It's not favoritism, just incompetence.

Not sure what you're talking about. He has the strongest team in this race. He has Govekar, Mohoric, Novak, Almeida, Morgado, Christen and Grosschartner, plus a bunch of continental Slovenians.
