Espoirs is a very good race atm.

I know I wouldn't want anyone in my wheel when training as a pro. It's an (undesired) distraction from training and more importantly, from concentrating on the road and traffic in general. If I follow someone, I ask. If I get followed, I usually don't care but that's just me. Following wheels...

Having seen some people with approx. the same injury, I'd say that, optimistically, he could be able to put pressure on that ankle / foot within a week and start training rollers again. If not, it could be 1-2 weeks off the bike.

Ofcourse it's Belgian fans: They are 90% of cyclocross fans, and there were 9 (the incident today included) idiots out of 10 races x 20.000 fans x 6 years = 1.2 million fans that are lining the parcours. It's actually a miracle it's 'only' 9 incidents, considering 10-20% of spectators are...
