    119th Paris - Tours Elite (12-10-2025)

Regardless, even within the sport, it has been demoted, which makes no sense. An age-old race with a verifiable who's who of the history of the sport as winners, which consistently produces exciting racing, and is a perfect capstone for the season, and it's relegated to 1. status. If you ask me...

Teams & Riders The official Egan Bernal is the new Egan Bernal thread

Not his thing. He should chase stage wins in Grand Tours and wins in smaller races/semi-classics. There are too many stronger riders contending each Classic for him to even reach a podium in one of them.

    119th Paris - Tours Elite (12-10-2025)

Just here to remark that I cannot believe how this race has been downgraded over the past decade or so and how even Cyclingnews is devoting its live ticker to gravel racing over it. Unbelievable. It's a century-plusold Classic with a storied history and innumerable legends who have won it, and...

Vuelta a España Vuelta 2025, stage 20: Robledo de Chavela - Bola del Mundo - Puerto de Navacerrada (164.8 km)

Think Vingegaard will crack and Almeida will be better. Pidcock will take back a minute.

    Mikel Landa Discussion Thread

He will be lucky to hold onto fifth with the time trial to come. Seventh is likely. Hope he saves something for the Vuelta.

When will the 1x chainwheel fad begin to fade?

It isn't rocket science to figure out what you're losing. How long will this last before consumers figure it out? Reminds me of the singlespeed fad some 15 years ago. Scratched my head on that one, too.

Can you please restore organization of race results to a logical, coherent format?

It used to be so easy to read, chronologically. When I click on it now, I'm greeted by, first, listing of January events, and next below it, the Olympics in October. Whenever I encounter something like this, I ask aloud or to anyone listening, "Who in the world thought that this was an...

    André Greipel Discussion Thread

Perhaps the obvious lack of a proper lead-out train is one of the reasons? His sprinting isn't a high priority on the team. I love him and hate that he's retiring, but he depended on a train as much or more than any of the elite sprinters.

Teams & Riders Vincenzo Nibali discussion thread

Definitely needs to attack on Saturday. Send a teammate up the road and attack on the descent. I think the real contenders will mark each other up the Colombiere in anticipation of Sunday's stage.

    Whatever happened to...?

I'll never forget Quaranta, "The Cheetah," getting dropped on a "hill" in the last few KMs of a Giro stage that would not have winded a Fred. For a couple Giri, he did indeed have Cipo's number, though.

    Giro d'Italia 2021 Giro d'Italia: Stage-by-Stage Analysis

Remember all those deaths of pro cyclists over the many decades in the rain and snow? And without helmets! Decisions like this are making this sport a joke, along with banning descending positions, earpiece coaching, power meters, and all the rest of the nonsense. It's a tough sport meant for...

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

One of the enjoyable things about yesterday's stage was the current piece of pseudoscientific cycling dogma being exploded, namely the idea that if you're not riding at a high cadence, you will be left behind, particularly when the road tilts uphill. Pogacar had a noticeable slower cadence...

He should be able to work over Roglic by the last weekend, but we'll see.

    ¡Adiós!

As noted many times, he looked like a million bucks pedaling a bicycle.
