Vuelta a España 2022 Vuelta a España stage 4(Vitoria-Gastiez-Lagaurdia),152.5 km, Hilly

Here in Bulgaria many people seem to be expecting (or hoping for?) a win by Thomas De Gendt. Do you guys think he actually has a chance? o_O

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 18 (Lourdes – Hautacam, 143.2k)

OK, but if somehow it does go to the breakaway, do you think he is capable? Or he can't do such climbs well enough to pull it off? Poor Frenchies - no stage win for them...LOL

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 18 (Lourdes – Hautacam, 143.2k)

is Benoît Cosnefroy capable of winning this from a breakaway (to give some joy to the locals at last)?? Or is the climbing way too hard for him?

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 11 (Albertville – Col du Granon Serre Chevalier, 151.7k)

Excuse my ignorance, but why is WVA a Pozzato, and Roglic an Heras? LOL

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 9 (Aigle – Châtel Les Portes du Soleil, 192.9k)

But how would such a break be even allowed to go in the first place? o_O

Do you guys think Simon Geschke is capable of winning this one from a breakaway?

Vuelta 2012, Stage 8: Lleida - Andorra, Coll de la Gallina (174.7 kms)

I got just 2, not 3, and I sold one of those 2, as I had health issues and couldn't use the road-racing bike, which is only suitable for out of town... I want just one more mountain-bike (which would be like getting the one they didn't give me 2 years ago, that 3rd one) and then I'm retiring...

Vuelta 2012, Stage 8: Lleida - Andorra, Coll de la Gallina (174.7 kms)

Thanks  I've simply got used far too much to what's been happening in the Tour and Giro (unfortunately) - all the favorites looking at each other and not attacking during most of the final climb, thus allowing someone from the breakaway to win the stage...

Vuelta 2012, Stage 8: Lleida - Andorra, Coll de la Gallina (174.7 kms)

So what are the chances now - will the favorites catch the breakaways and take the time bonuses at the finish?

2012 Vuelta a España: Stage 4:Barakaldo-Estación de Valdezcaray 160.6 Km

I still insist and believe he didn't think he won or anything - he was just happy with the 4th place... See my argument on the previous pages here.

2012 Vuelta a España: Stage 4:Barakaldo-Estación de Valdezcaray 160.6 Km

So you can't imagine teams and individual riders that are modest and realistic - having lower goals and being happy with less than a win?

2012 Vuelta a España: Stage 4:Barakaldo-Estación de Valdezcaray 160.6 Km

Absolutely. I can guarantee to you that, if our boy Danail manages a 4th place in a stage too, he will celebrate it even more enthusiastically. We have never had a cyclist even ride a Grand Tour, let alone get a Top 5 stage finish in one. Likewise, that small Basque team hadn't been in a Grand...
