    Ricco's Mountain ascents

No-one has said Moncoutie was clean, but it's fairly common knowledge that he was one of the pan y agua riders who wouldn't even touch supplements.

2014 Tour de France, Stage 10: Mulhouse > La Planche des Belles Filles 161.5 Km

I hope to see a pistol shot as I've placed a bet on a Contador victory at 13/8. Unless a break stays clear or Porte climbs at or above 2013 Paris-Nice/TDF level, I can't see anything else.

    2014 Tour de France, Stage 8: Tomblaine – Gerardmer/La Mauselaine: 161km

I'm a little fed up with all the GC contenders saying the finishing climb didn't suit them: Contador, Nibali, and now Porte. I know where they're coming from, but on Monday the excuses have to stop! For me, Nibali and Contador both within themselves, but Contador significantly more so.

2014 Tour De France stage Stage 2: York – Sheffield: 201km

    Phil and Paul

Agree that Matt adds good technical knowledge to the team. I really rate Gary Imlach - he is a smooth, yet witty anchor. Anyone hear Anthony McCrossan and Brain Smith commentate on the 2012 Veulta for ITV4? I didn't like them much to start with, but they grew on me (I think the quality of...

    Phil and Paul

When Mikel Nieve attaked both Phil and Paul had no idea who it was. It's not as though he hasn't already attacked on stage 3, stage 8, and fluctuated within the top 20 on GC! Phil said he would guess it was Oroz or one of the Izagirre brothers - I was cringing! Paul gave us a couple of...

    Phil and Paul

With Sanchez not racing this year, any Euskatel rider they can't identify becomes Igor Anton by default. On a separate note, Paul annoys me every time he sees Fuglsang he feels the need to say that Brajkovic was the Astana leader going in to the tour, and that it is now Fuglsang by default...

    Phil and Paul

The Kessiakoff gaffe was Phil. 'Cannonball' and 'Omega Pharma Quickstop' had me in stitches. Phil was convinced the peleton was going to split today - no clear-minded individual would have had a clue whether it would or not today. Kevin Reza was called the main animator of the break yesterday...

    Phil and Paul

Their mistakes are not excusable, but more inexcusable are the strange words the Paul spouts from his mouth - often when if he just slowly said them, would come out correctly. Examples so far include: Stage 1: 'there's hardly a breeze in the air' Stage 2: 'mountain man rider'...
