If such a time comes and it very well may, we can look at reversing it. I think it goes without saying, we wouldn't have it in place if not legally required to do so.
Wouldn't matter where the servers were, as long as the site remains open to UK residents it applies. Denmark is also working to implement similar rules through an expansion of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
That makes sense because of how some of the images are being linked. As an example, the Climbfinder links shouldn't really be linked here eg: https://image.climbfinder.com/mont-des-cats.png?v=1644589780, they should be downloaded and hosted elsewhere, somewhere like Imgur or another image...
What server errors are you encountering? I'm guessing they are stemming from the length of your posts and the amount of images you are inputting since there are character and image limits.

Sorry, I thought I put the fix in place here but I guess not. I actually worked with Xenforo to fix it. It's in place now. Keep in mind, the fix only works if the images were associated with an IMGUR account and IMGUR didn't remove them.
