Exactly this. My old shimano worn parts ended up in the trash, anything campy was rebuilt and still solid. A friend of mine is restoring his 80s DeRosa and it ain't shimano, sram or suntour that's going on it - it's vintage campy that still functions flawlessly

I'm middle aged and I'd gladly take campy any day. the amount on complete replacement of shimano parts I've done to campy over the last 35 yrs is ridiculous. Campy wears in. Shimano wears out.

Just did a custom kit with vie13 http://www.vie13.com. Jersey and shorts are great quality especially chamois. Able to do good print on dome intricate designs too. Not sure if they do kid sizes though. But were very helpful in the process and would use them again.

Swapped out 105 for campy centaur on my cross bike. Soooo much better. 105 was clunky and broke or wore out constantly. Cross bike goes all year round here in calgary through -30 Celsius snow and one flood. Solid in any weather I've had to deal with.

There's better bourbons than Maker's. Blanton's and Four Roses are worth investigating for the brownest of brown liquors Japanese - Yamazaki is good, Nikka is better. similar to the Speyside scotches if you're looking for a comparison Nothing beats a Lagavulin though

Will the front disc change the ride quality in anyway? Just curious because it seems the fork would need to be beefed up to handle the stresses which may impact feel. Heavier, more rigid front end. Or maybe this is all a non-issue.
