I agree re Froome having outright leadership for the Tour and Aru (if the rumour are true, which I doubt) having leadership for the giro. However, Thomas still finished level with Richie despite being on dom duties for the first two weeks. I'm not suggesting a drastic improvement over Richie but...
Not in grand tours necessarily but give him more practice in the week long stage races and see what level he has got. He's better than Richie anyway, unless Richie regains his form!
I'm surprised this was dismissed so readily. Especially as it appears apparent that this technology exists. Sky's big budget means the cost of downscaling previous attempts is entirely possible.
Here is my reasoning why I don't think it should have been dismissed so readily:
1) he wouldn't...
Not at all, you just revealed yourself to be a man with a chip on his shoulder over Sky/Team GB rather than an unbiased critic of doping in sport. I've already acknowledged my disbelief in sky/Team GB but saved it for the correct thread :p
Well done Benotti, bringing Team GB/Sky into yet another thread. Most people agree that they dope, now lets leave that to the relevant threads and discuss a few other riders for once.
I think Thomas should be given his chance next year to show what he has got. Don't think he'll be competing for wins but would give him a better chance of moderate success than Richie. Nieve should be given leadership if there are any GT's with minimal TT's in.
How is Froome mentally broken? He got injured then Contador gets injured and the first thing he says is see you in the vuelta for the rematch. As much as I dislike Froome as a person, he doesn't seem broken to me.
Regarding earlier comments, I mostly agree with JRanton, Wiggins wouldn't have...
Intermediate sprints should we worth a few less points than at present. The rolling/medium stages are enough to ensure Sagan et al would still have a chance of winning but it would be less guaranteed.
