Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 9: Chinon – Châteauroux (174.1k)

De Lie is so unaero he disqualifies himself as a sprinter.

Paris-Roubaix 2025, one day monument, April 13 (men)

I think he overestimated how well he knew the course and/or he thought he could handle that corner at that speed. Just my opinion. Arrogance adjective having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.

Paris-Roubaix 2025, one day monument, April 13 (men)

Rewatched the Pogi crash a couple of times and to me it’s so clear it was a mistake. He arrogantly attacked directly before and MvdP knew of the turn coming up so he backed off the pedals a bit and let Pogi come in HOT. This is yet another example of MvdP being the superior racer as well, let...

I agree with this. It seems like since had his son he’s been more balanced and less crazy than MvdP and Pogi. Like I joke with my wife all the time how tough it’d be married to a guy like Mathieu who is a high strung elite athlete with having children likely no where near the forefront of his...

Ganna gonna be MVPs best teammate again? Mathieu seemingly always has a trick up his sleeve.

Teams & Riders Arnaud De Lie is De Truth Discussion Thread

I took it as implying people are being systematically overtrained or something. Like when Asgreen wasn’t recovering for no reason a couple years ago so QS shelved him for the rest of the year. Anyways that’s where my mind went.

Except that MvdP is a superior racer and that Pogacar has a superior watt/kg.

MvdP is a superior racer to Pogacar (see RvV 22) and I think that’ll bite Tadej a few more times in his career, including this year. Mathieu always has something up his sleeve.

Yeah I’m from the US and I recognize the Belgium champs are above the others. I know Philipsen for instance was pretty disappointed to lose last year. Maybe it’s on the level of a minor classic, I.e. KBK or Dwars. IMO anyways.

That and all the skiing and golfing. That is to say I think his mind is also in a good place right now.

Also De Lie can’t be the greatest thing to exist and also be nothing to write home about.

We're watching peak MvdP...ah, so glorious.

World Championships 2024: Men's Road Race (September 29)

Maybe people are too aerodynamic nowadays, let's throw some type of sail on everyone's bike (say, +.20 CdA) so the benefit of working together and staying in the pack once again proves fatal for the breakaway. Alas, I was entertained - congrats to Pogacar.

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

Man, ProCyclingManager got super realistic this year. The graphics are insane and that Pogi fellow is an 85 in everything. I suspect he should win all 5 monuments and the WC and all three GTs next year at this rate.
