Interesting snippet - Armstrong contacted UCI

Phat: "But my understanding is that he has no interest in the sport anymore, he's got his other stuff to work on." Such as looking for a second-hand trailer in Paso.:D

    Rabobank pulls out of pro-cycling

British cyclist David Millar hits out at Rabobank's 'sickening' decision to quit cycling "Millar tweeted: "Dear Rabobank, you were part of the problem. How dare you walk away from your young clean guys who are part of the solution. Sickening.""...

    Rabobank quits cycling!

And why don't they have any faith left in UCI? *Gives Dekker_Tifosi half an hour to think* Yes, that's right, because of the Armstrong case! *Clap, clap, clap* So, all in all, a handy excuse to get out of this sport now that they don't need the cycling team to boost brand recognition.

    Rabobank quits cycling!

Armstrong never rode for Rabobank, no Rabobank riders are named in the USADA files (either explicitly or in redacted form), Armstrong didn't have any particular association with Rabobank... Call me sceptical, but to me it looks like Rabobank were planning to quit cycling anyway and the...

Will Contador Be Juiced Up Again Upon His Return

Alberto Contador suspended until August 2012 (loses all results July 2010 - Jan 2012)

I'm no legal expert, but the ECHR refers to criminal offences, which isn't what we're dealing with here. It doesn't necessarily cover civil and sporting offences. Certain jurisdictions, including the United States of America and most likely the ECHR, allow ex post facto laws in civil cases.

Vuelta 2012, Stage 20: La Faisanera Golf-Bola del Mundo (170,7 km)

What did you expect him to say, "Contador was weaker than me in this Vuelta, so he needed Paulinho, Hernández and Tiralongo to win the race for him"? There's something called "diplomacy". You must be very naive if you think riders always mean exactly what they say.

Vuelta 2012, Stage 20: La Faisanera Golf-Bola del Mundo (170,7 km)

And some people manage to delude themselves into thinking their favourite rider was the strongest man even after seeing him lose every single mano-a-mano against the other rider.
