I have been a fan of AC since 2007, my favourite rider since Indurain. For me this years tdf was one of the most boring to watch. There was none of the excitement you would get with Schleck/Contador. Wiggins is an amazing cyclist but he is no Contador.

This is the first time i have been able to watch all of the vuelta. All I can say is that it kicks tdf's ***.

I have never been a fan of Cadel, but could not be more pleased for him winning the tour. He fought hard for this and deserves it.:)

Good decision. I think that he will be back next year in TDF better than ever. I hate wishing my life away but cannot wait for 2012.

Agreed. Not a fan of LA, but he, like Cadel, was an aggressive, extremely tough man. I only see AS as a talented boy at the moment, but a boy that has stopped growing, and does not have that true grit.

He was in 1st place by 50+ seconds going into the time trial. He lost the yellow jersey by almost 2 minutes. This is why he is always 2nd. Can I just also say there is nothing wrong with 2nd place in TDF. I do not see a winner in this guy, it certainly has nothing to do with me liking or...

I totally agree with you. He is very talented and will have a great career. Still do not think he is a tour winner. If I am wrong I will eat my saddle. :)

That is exactly my point. He is dedicated for sure, he lacks talent in important disciplines. I think he has done all he can in what he lacks, but as we see is nowhere good enough. Cadel is an all rounder.
